City Council approves annexation after drastically reducing proposed plan

After a one-year delay, San Antonio’s City Council voted to annex several suburban areas. But the size of the annexation proposed by staff was drastically reduced. This could signal a fundamental shift for the city — which has relied heavily on annexation to grow over the past half century. We hear from Tech Bloc founder Lew Moorman, and District 8 Councilman Ron Nirenberg, who cast a no vote.
