After 12 years as a justice of the Texas Supreme Court and nine years as the Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson is resigning. The first African American chief justice is considered by many lawyers to be one of the best. He is an advocate for Supreme Court transparency and for increasing access to the courts for low income Texans.
