(bright music) - The Utah Children's Center is hosting the 2024 Ready Resilient Utah Early Childhood Mental Health Conference.
President and CEO Rebecca Dutson is here with more information about this year's event.
Hi, Rebecca, thank you so much for being here.
This is a big conference.
I mean, you have 20, I think, breakout sessions.
- [Rebecca] Yes.
- What are some of the breakout sessions?
- Well, we're so excited this year.
First of all, it's a professional development offering, where early childhood professionals and licensed providers, even including pediatricians and psychiatrists, can earn professional credit, and some of those sessions will be focused on trauma-informed care for young children, workforce development, and really, all topics that are gonna focus on improving infant and early childhood mental outcomes in Utah.
- Wow, that's a big job.
- It is big, and it's very exciting.
- Yeah, and important, very important.
Okay, so you're bringing in speakers as well.
Who are some of the speakers?
- Yes, we're thrilled to be bringing in our keynote, Dr. Chandra Ghosh Ippen, who is the Associate Director of the Child Research Trauma Program at the University of California San Francisco, so she is gonna have a great opening session.
And, of course, providers in the early childhood space of all backgrounds and professions are invited to attend.
- Ah, I was just gonna ask you, because this brings a lotta people together from a lot of different areas, so what are some of the areas?
- So we'll have, of course, mental health professionals, we'll have healthcare professionals, state leaders, and community members and educators.
Really, all of those professions that intersect with our very youngest children and their families and caregivers.
- Wonderful, well, I'm so glad you're doing it.
It's an important service, and thanks for being here.
- Well, thank you so much.
