We're at Lilliput Park.
And we also are in front of the Giving Gardens here at Lilliput.
The Duluth Community Garden Program has been around for over 40 years, the Giving Gardens program was started this year.
In COVID, we noticed there was quite a bit more produce being taken from gardens.
We decided to just place Giving Gardens outside of our community gardens so that people could help themselves to whatever they wanted.
So there's two in the Hillside, one over and Denfeld, and most have at least one or two beds.
And a lot of our gardens were growing cherry tomatoes this year.
They're easily recognizable.
So people walking by could just grab and eat whatever they like.
We're also growing in this garden, kale and chard.
I think one of the most important reasons to have giving gardens is that there's so much unused space in a city that could be utilized in growing food.
