I'm Tanner Koetter, And along with Tony Kuefler and Parker Warfield, we are the Lonely Loons formerly known as the Flock Shot Coots Hailing From the Badger Tree Farm.
We use to perform as a two piece.
Acoustic.
We were called The Virgin Dads.
That was short lived.
And then after that, it was really when we met those two missing loons that kind of bridged the music of just us.
Pretty much just learning how to play instruments, into writing songs that could be for a full band one day.
And then, like I said, they flew away and we found some other loons on the lake.
Well, you went to a street dance back in, I think it's Four on the Floor.
That band.
Saw them.
That was kind of the inspiration to go a little more rock.
So then you got an electric guitar, and then he learned piano.
So he's other songs.
He's learned all these other instruments and obviously does vocals.
Yeah.
Grew from there.
And yeah, just wanted to play live in our mid twenties.
Thought it would be a fun thing to do rather than open mics at a small cafe in Duluth or something.
Oh, what a sunset, and they'll tell ya: “Your skin looks so much better in good weather.” Like they think they know you ya.
In your pull em’, with your poems Well, it's such a sight for sore eyes than mine.
And yes, I mind.
Oh, you got to get on your way.

I have been trying to figure that out for a decade.
We've got Lounge Rock.
We've got Desert Rock.
We've got, Medieval Lidian, And as Tony likes to say, Rock.
Some songs are just a series of bridges that, you know, come together.
But, Strokes.
Arctic Monkeys, early Kings of Leon are influences.
And then from there, it kind of spreads.
But, early 2k Rock was our initial sort of sound, I guess.
Step right up.
Don't be shy.
There's a first time for everything.
You think You’ve got guts?
Rig-running through the gauntlet of rust?
And your home town is a desert a dust?

Oh c’est la vie, oh c’est la vie.
I think I’m on fire.
Oh c’est la vie, oh c’est la vie.
I think I’m on fire.
Performing live to me is, like, like, looking out at a car crash and then looking over and seeing Matt, Tony or Parker.
And it's like looking in the mirror and telling yourself everything's going to be all right.
Which is why when we play Sentimental, I say that every time to remind myself.
Don't go loving me darling.
If you say it'll never work out.
Under a tree down in the garden, Do ya got time for one last shouting match so I can light up a smoke ache.
I’m taking a heart break.
Running the gauntlet again, babe.
It’s a bit of a freight train.
Don’t go loving me, darling, If you say it'll never work out.
No need to get so sentimental, no need to figure this out.
I say there's plenty of change at the bottom of that wishing well.
But who’s got that kind of time?
Come on, there’s plenty of change on the tip of your tongue, to shift this paradigm.
I hate to see you bringing yourself down, baby.
I hate to see you bringing yourself down, baby.
I hate to see ya, I always hate to see ya... Don’t go loving me darling, if you're always weighing me in your mind.
This sundown town is howling, And I'm dancing with the wolves this time.
And we’re all in the garden.
And I’ve got your guard down.
It’s really looking like one more last time.
I hate to see you bringing yourself down, baby.
I hate to see you bringing yourself down, baby.
I hate to see ya... I always hate to see you.
And you know it.
Now, when I say alright.
Everything's going to be alright.
Alright!
