The British Short Land pattern musket, also called the Brown Bess, was the most common firearm used by American and British soldiers during the Revolutionary War.
It weighed more than 10 pounds and had an effective range of 80 to 100 yards.
Reloading a musket typically took around 20 to 30s seconds.
However, a skilled soldier could potentially reload in as little as 10 to 15 seconds.
