♪ ♪ PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): The sand castle competition is about to start.
And this year I'm going to win!
♪ ♪ I'm going to build a tower and a wall on my sand castle.
My castle's going to have a royal swimming pool with a royal slide!
And mine's going to have a moat so deep it'll keep out dragons!
(roars) (laughing) My castle is going to have a grand entrance in the front and back.
What type of sandcastle are you going to build, Pinkalicious?
Hmm.
I'm not building a sand castle.
Wait.
You're not going to be in the competition?
Of course I am, silly!
But I'm going to build a sand palace instead.
ALL: A sand palace?!
Yes!
It's going to have fountains that spray crystal-clear water.
Ooh, and a mermaid pond.
And stables (gasps) For a unicorn!
And, and... (gasps) a big pretty conch shell on top of the tallest tower.
How many towers are you going to have?
Seven.
(gasping) Wow!
That sounds like one big castle!
You mean palace.
You'll never build all of that in time.
Kendra's got a point.
We only have till sundown.
Your palace sounds so cool, Pinkalicious.
Maybe we could help you build it.
No, no, no.
You've got your own castles to build.
Besides this is my sand palace.
I'd like to do it by myself.
Attention castle builders!
The sandcastle competition starts right... now!
Come on, everybody!

(cheering) Let's go!
♪ ♪ Pinkalicious, there's some space by me.
Thanks Rafael, but I'm going to need lots of space for my pinkamazing sand palace.
Pinkaperfect!
(humming) ♪ ♪ Now I need a gigantic tower in the middle.

Perfect!

There's going to be a conch shell on top, and over here I'm going to put the unicorn stables, and this can be the crystal fountain... (wave crashing) (gasps): Pinkalicious!

Oh, I'm sorry, Pinkalicious.
I'm sure this happens to all the best sandcastle builders.
But I'm building a sand palace, Mommy.
Well, there's still time to start your palace again.

♪ ♪ So many things around ♪ ♪ To use creatively ♪ ♪ Anyone can make a castle ♪ ♪ If they just use sand ♪ ♪ But the beach is full of so many things ♪ ♪ To make a palace land ♪ ♪ My sand palace ♪ ♪ Made from things I find ♪ ♪ Sea treasure all around me ♪ ♪ Sparks ideas in my mind ♪ ♪ All the things I need are here ♪ ♪ With a little care ♪ ♪ I'll turn them into something new ♪ ♪ The best sand palace anywhere!

Now I just need the conch shell to go on top.
(gasps) Oh no!
I didn't find a conch!
Just a few more minutes, beachcombers!
But my palace isn't close to being done.
I haven't even started on the crystal fountain.
Okay, I'll put this here, and that can go there.
No, no, no!
That's not how it's supposed to look at all!
Are you all right, Pinkalicious?
No, no, I'm not!
I'm not even close to being done and the competition's almost over!
It looks pretty good to me!
But it doesn't look anything like I imagined.
And it never will unless...
Unless what?
Unless... you wouldn't mind... Do you think you could help me?
But I thought you didn't want any help.
Yeah.
You said you wanted to do it all on your own.
I did!
But I was wrong.
I could really use your help now-- please?

This is for the palace lawn.
These stones are for the path between the stables and the fountains.
(gasps) Oh no!
The fountains!
I haven't even started them yet!
Don't worry.
I'll start digging.
What can I do?
My moat needs a drawbridge.

(gasping) A conch!
It's beautiful!

And that's a really interesting castle door, Peter!

It's a sand palace, Mr.

Look at all those towers!
And that's the crystal fountain.
What's this?

I think we've found our winner, Plummy.
For best use of things you find on the beach, the prize goes to... Pinkalicious!
(cheering): Yay!

But the prize shouldn't just go to me.
It should go to all my friends too.
I couldn't have built my palace without them.
I thought I could do it all by myself, but then I ran out of time.
So everyone helped me, and it turned out even better than I imagined.
Well, in that case... Prizes for everyone!
(cheering) (seagulls calling) Now it's time for the best part of the sandcastle competition...
The knocking down part!

(kids cheering) PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): Next year my friends and I are going to work together to make the biggest sand palace ever.
KIDS: That's pinkatastic!
(giggling) Hi, I'm Leo Sewell.
I'm a junk artist, which means I collect junk, and put it together, and make sculpture.
Like my big penguin here.
♪ ♪ So much of this is from the kitchen.
Because, you know, the things in the kitchen, they're made out of metal, and then they last.
This is designed to be outside.
You guys tell me what you see.
I see a Missouri license plate.
This is, this is part of a measuring spoon.
Oh yeah, and half a water bottle.
Yeah, there's a lemon squeezer.
Is he bigger than a real penguin or small than a real penguin, what do you think?
A lot bigger.
Yeah, you're right.
SEWELL: But if you make something bigger, then people pay attention more.
I love it when I can just get every color together.
It's like just using every crayon in the box.
KIDS: No!
SEWELL: It's part of a croquet, the head of a croquet mallet.

The joy for me is to get something that's really trash, that's junk, that people don't want, and build something that is wonderful, that people then do want.
So this is a memorial to a big apple orchard that was here.
KIDS: The stem!
SEWELL: Yeah, you got it, yeah, it's a stem.
And this is the head of a shovel, a rusty old shovel, but it had a nice curve, it helped make an apple.
And you can do it too.
You can go in the recycling bucket, and take the things, and build with them.
You can make something new.
It's so much fun.
PINKALICIOUS: "Zoo Day."
♪ ♪ PINKALICIOUS: It's Teddy Bear Day at the zoo, and Peter and I are bringing our teddy bears!
You're going to get to see all kinds of animals, Henrietta.
Like elephants and kangaroos-- Fred loves kangaroos.
And there's going to be a teddy bear picnic.
Whoa!
Did you hear that, Fred?
A picnic just for you!
MOM: Pinkalicious!
Peter!
Are you ready to go?
Yes!
And so is Henrietta!
Fred and I are ready, too.
Did you make the honey buns, Mommy?
I've got them right here.
Thanks, Mommy.
Henrietta loves honey.
'Cause she's a bear.
Fred does too!
So do I.
Me too.
Looks like we've got a lot of bears on our hands Grrrrr.... (laughing) If you ask me, I think you bears belong in the zoo!

She's so excited, she's jumping for joy!
Fred's so excited, he's doing his triple turbo flip!
(giggling) To the zoo!

Oh, there's a sign.
Let's see, lions that way... PETER: Zebras that way... PINKALICIOUS: Teddy bear picnic this way!

Look, an elephant!
Fred's never seen an elephant before.
Oh, I love elephants!

What about the picnic?
Henrietta doesn't want to miss it!
Don't worry, Pinkalicious.
We have plenty of time.
It doesn't start until noon.

(giggling) (trumpets) Come on, Peter Pinkertrunk.
Don't forget, we're going to the teddy bear picnic.

Luckily I fixed this before anyone wandered off in the wrong direction.
I told you we'd see a kangaroo, Fred.

(giggling) Hop, hop, hop!
Oh, look at that!
The kangaroo has a joey in her pouch.
Wait, who's Joey?
DAD: A joey is a baby kangaroo.
Whoa, pinkimagine that!
(bouncing) (giggling) Now we're joeys!

(laughing) Look!
I have a joey too!
Henriettaroo!

Oh, we better get hopping, Peteroo, or we'll miss the picnic.
Yes, it's almost time.

(monkey screaming) Did you say something?

I think someone's been monkeying around with the signs.

(crash) (spin) (monkey screaming) (gasps) A monkey!

Maybe he wanted us to come see him.

"Eeek ook eeek" must mean "hold your teddy bear as tight as you can."
