It's not made overseas.
It's not fast fashion as you say.
Melanzanas are kind of like Levi's, right?
It's just kind of like standard stuff that you can really count on.
It was just a one man show when I started.
I just want to do my own thing and wanted to make a product, be creative in that way.
I took a while, probably like ten years before it felt like a real business.
When I started, I mean, we were in half the space.
I think there was like 12 or 13 sewers, 20 machines.
We worked individually like our own, like piecework.
It's wild.
So we're standing here in the sewing department on the sewing floor of the Leadville factory.
This half of the factory, this is mostly microgrid hoodies.
And then that side of the factory, you're going to see Wind Pro hoodies, the wind pro sweats, merino hoodies and high loft hoodies.
Yeah.
I mean, there's quality from back to front.
You know they start looking pre inspecting the fabric.
Cutters have their eyes on the fabric as they roll it out.
Sewers are looking out for you know any quality issues whether it's it's fabric or machine you know stitches.
And then once it gets to quality control they thoroughly inspect it.
And so at every step of the process and even retail, you know, they'll put their eyes on it as well.
One of our main values is we are a local company and we do everything in-house and locally.
And that's just it's just the way I like to operate.
It's got its own set of challenges, but it feels good.
You know, we definitely lean on U.S.
sourcing as a way to kind of guarantee quality.
The synthetics that we buy.
Not only are the fabrics like knit and finished in the US and dyed in the US, but the fiber, the yarn is also made.
In the US.
I do think there's higher environmental standards and higher quality standards for American made fibers and textiles.
So that's something we kind of lean on for sure.
You know, we're going to stay true to who we are and why we are that way and try not to lose our culture and lose our values.
And we'll keep moving forward and we'll see where it takes us.
