The State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls has re-opened to the movie-going public.

The State Theater was built in 1926 and operated continuously until 1991. Since then, interested groups and individuals have come together in a multi-million dollar effort to restore the old movie house to its original grandeur. This video offers a brief look at the history of the theater and the years-long effort to renovate the building and re-open to the movie-going public.
