Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipThere are like a lot of multifaceted meanings This iteration of it, the 3D origami or paper folding sculpture really evolved over time.
It's gone through a lot of iterations, with the first idea being a collage of photos as a way to highlight all the different faces of APIDA members and their family and friends.
So even for folks outside of the APIDA community just seeing that we can all connect in other ways, whether that's in terms of interess, values, hobbies, beliefs, we started thinking about how to incorporate elements of it to kind of match people's heritage and activities they might have done growing up with origami and being associated mostly or being associated from Japan.
I also want to emphasize there that there are other traditions or arts and crafts of paper folding too throughout Asia.
It's more intended to be an amalgam of people and their experiences and an amalgam of, again, our faces and activities So this is really a collective project The Slice, from WDSE WRPT.
