Currently I'm working with the Tyrone Thompson honor choir.

They are called our Tyrone Thompson Trebles.

They're 4th and 5th grade audition students, and we meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school to prep right now for our winter concert.

Ready?

One, two, here we go.

-We perform here at the school.

We also perform on Town Square and the Silver Knights.

It's very cool.

You get to, like, be there with your friends.

You get to sing with them, and I think it's pretty fun.

-I'm really excited, especially for the Town Square.

♪♪♪ -I've been performing here for about three years.

I feel, I feel anxious sometimes.

But usually when I start singing, I feel-- I see my confidence get back to me.

-I have seen so many students really break out of their shell and be their true selves.

I have a lot of great memories for music, and I remember making so many friends.

And I can see all my students making connections with new friends and doing things and performing in places that they never thought they would or never thought that they could.

When the students and teachers and family members and friends all come see the kids perform, it's hard not to smile.

I think it really helps to build the community.

-We all are one family, and we all, like, use teamwork in here.

And we just sing to make the world a better place sometimes.

Our handshake?

So our handshake is-- one thing, a part of it, is the triple threat, and it means we're talented, tenacious, and thriving.

That was it, thriving.
