I wanted to grab her essence.

And she's a very tough person, but also the sweetest human you're ever going to meet.

My mom was a big fan of hers, so she even came to my hotel room and she helped me with the dancing and all of that.

Yeah, I did everything I could.

[ Chuckles ] It was beautiful to see that she was still so humble, even after all these years.

She's such an icon but still so human.

And that was beautiful.

Focus on that craft, master it, and always have a lawyer.

Never sign anything without reading.

This music industry...

It's not going to be what you think it is.

Everybody's going to try to take a piece of you.

You can't let 'em.

Menage: Lisa is probably one of the most amazing humans I've ever met.

We kind of grew up together, you know, going on the road, being on the road for the first time as kids and going through this journey was a learning experience, and we taught each other.

She taught me how to do makeup and be on stage.

It was an incredible journey, and we're still on it.

You know, I know she talks about how I helped change her life and helped her out, but she did the same for me.

Velez: I started the tour already.

We just hit the tour and it's going to go till the end of the year.

So look out, look out.

I'm just glad that the audience still loves it and still wants us back on the stage.

No matter what the struggle, if it's something that you want, you fight for it.

And I definitely did that.

I hid a lot of struggles that I went through in this business only because I wanted it.

I wanted it that bad.

So just go for it.
