Years after a murder drove them apart, an heiress tries to win back her lost love.
(1946) In the drama starring Barbara Stanwyck, Van Heflin, and Lizabeth Scott, Martha Ivers struggles to escape her dark past. A young Ivers unintentionally causes the death of her cruel aunt. As she lies to authorities, the sole witness, Walter, verifies her lies. After marrying Walter in order to keep her secret safe, old friend Sam shows up and Martha fears her grim history may catch up to her.
