Col. Patrick Callahan has been the leader of the State Police since 2017 and aims to further improve upon it's efficiency. As stresses of the job become increasingly difficult to handle, trooper mental health is a priority. While police work has changed over the years, with potential legalization of recreational marijuana and the opioid epidemic, car theft and gun crime remain on the front burner.
