And on this episode of Field Trip, we're heading to the west side of Evansville for the West Side Nut Club's Fall Festival!
The West Side Nut Club is a local nonprofit that gives proceeds from the Fall Festival to the community.
As a staple of Evansville, Indiana.
This yearly event has been happening since 1921, drawing in crowds of locals, people from outside of Evansville.
And it even brings back those who grew up here.
And it's not hard to see why.
They have rides, carnival games and of course, over 130 different food booths!
Now let's test my skills at some of the various carnival games throughout the fairground.
And what makes this event even more special is that it's all about raising money for charity.
Over 130 food booths along Franklin Street are run and operated by not for profit groups in the region.
It's the annual event my hometown looks forward to every year, and if you've never been, you're sure as heck missing out on one of the crowning jewels of Southern Indiana.
If you want to learn more about the West Side Nut Club, then you can check out WNIN’s documentary.
That's all about the group.
It's called a West Side Nut Club story, and it dives into the history of the Nut Club and all that they've accomplished and done for our local community.
It's a really interesting documentary, so if you want to check that out, hit the.
Well everyone.
That's all I have for now.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time on Field Trip!
