You sign up for a time slot and you tell us what you're bringing in, and so then you just show up.
And then once we've diagnosed the problem, talk through different options for trying to fix it.
We try and involve people in the process, and oftentimes people get kind of into it, which is really fun.
I can do a lot of stuff, but with plastic, I just I don't really know what to do with.
I learned how to use welding staples basically for plastic, and then we filed them down.
And now I have four baskets that should work for another 20 years.
I think people are realizing that our current sort of paradigm of you buy something and it works for a year, and then you throw it out isn't really the best way.
I mean, it's almost like a meme, you know, they don't make it like they used to, right?
People are very aware that things aren't necessarily made well.
One of the next steps is making people aware of things like this, where they can bring their things that do break.
Once people become a little bit more confident that they can work on things on their own, then they might also put a little more thought into the things that they buy when they go out to buy a vacuum.
Next time, maybe they'll look for one where you can take it apart, or they'll check online to see, hey, can you get replacement parts for this sort of thing?
One could hope that I can move in that kind of direction.
