Alfred Tibor was born in 1920 and immigrated to the United States in 1957.
He was a Holocaust survivor and artist and he became a U.S.
Citizen in 1962.
He created the Freedom Sculpture that stands at the Battelle Riverfront Park among many others and its message reads, I give freedom as a gift to the city of Columbus here in the United States of America.
I have become free to achieve my dreams.
