The red dress.
And the only place you're going to find it is the Pacific Northwe.. And this is where the cool stuff is.
Not that that's a curtain.
This is the red dress.
The red dress was conceived by British artist Kirsti.. and she envisioned the dress as a platform for a dialog written in the universal language of embroidery.
Many of the artisans who worked on this were refugees from war, from Ukraine, from Africa.
I love that section over there with all the African women in their wax print fabrics.
And they each have their own distinct personalities.
And, then there's also some wonderful, metallic embroidery.
The dress is literally weighted down by the stitches and the metallic embroidery and the beading, but it also is weighed down by the stories, I think, that are shared.
It is spectacular.
I invite you to come visit at the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum.
I'm Angela.
Thank you for exploring.
I'll see you.
