That is the storm system that brought deadly tornadoes to Laurel and Pulaski counties.
But the storms also caused damage in other places, according to Governor Andy Beshear.
FEMA has said no to an individual assistance request for Christian and Todd counties, and it's turned down a request for public health to Leslie County.
A letter from FEMA says the storm damage wasn't severe enough to warrant federal help.
At the same time, FEMA has denied the governor's request for hazard mitigation grants for Kentucky after the May tornadoes and the April floods.
Those grants provide money for long term loans.
Here's the governor's response.
Quote, while we appreciate the individual assistance and public assistance we were granted for most of the affected areas, we are disappointed in the decision.
We are actively comparing the damage assessments, and we plan to appeal and quote.
