She's joined forces with her followers to clear the Christmas wish list for dozens of single mothers and their children.
Laura Rogers shares more on how the content creator is spreading joy this holiday season.
The Grinch hated Christmas the whole Christmas season.
Everyone knows the story of the Grinch.
All of the noise and white noise.
Who stole all of those presents on Christmas Eve?
And this had I look just like Saint Nick.
Joe.
But this is a story about just the opposite.
My husband and I have been really blessed by social media this year.
We wanted a way to give back.
And the platform that she has, she's just really been creative in reaching out and just with her passion for giving back.
It's just kind of spiraled from there.
A little moment for you.
Samantha Head has more than half a million followers on social media.
I knew it had to be different to catch attention when it's Time for Your Kids weekly.
She describes their content as deadpan comedy, a satirical look at being a wife and mother, often incorporating our five daughters.
They like making the videos with me.
It's just a fun way for us to do something together as a family.
Yeah, it's a lot of fun.
Samantha's husband, Trey, is also a good sport.
Started out as just some fun videos with the kids and just hanging out with the family.
And then she would kind of tell me what to do in the videos and we would have to do several takes to get it right.
Get it right, indeed.
Samantha's videos have become increasingly popular, getting millions of views, and she wanted to use her platform for good.
Him and I together, we're going to clear a few Mom's children's gift wish list for Christmas.
Single Moms.
Thinking about some of the parents of this time of year that don't have that support and then have to raise their kids alone, it just seemed overwhelming.
Does their head say they were inundated with messages from people both needing help and wanting to help?
I got a lot of emails from single mothers and then my followers immediately wanted to help donate.
So it got a great response very quickly.
Samantha says the wish lists are mostly basic needs like clothing, shoes and diapers.
The mom wanted a three foot tree to put up for her two boys because they had never had a Christmas tree.
She had left their abusive father.
It's very humbling.
It's a complete reality check about our lives and how fortunate we are and how blessed we really are.
And she says those on the receiving end have expressed gratitude for the goodwill.
They're just so thankful, so thankful to have shoes that fit their kid.
I had one mom email me that she went ahead and gave the shoes on her wish list, her child, because he didn't have shoes that were fitting him.
They're just really, really grateful.
Just to see how our communities rallied behind.
Just giving back during this season has just been tremendous.
As the page turns on this story, they hope it's the beginning of a new holiday tradition.
For Kentucky Edition, I'm Laura Rogers.
Christmas Day Light.
Samantha Head has raised more than $45,000 purchasing gifts for nearly 300 children this holiday season.
