We're celebrating the Damiano's 40th anniversary, and we're also serving the first meal that Damiano served 40 years ago, which is my hamburger soup.
I started with the senior aid program, but then I moved to part time Dishwasher, Part-Time Cook.
Then I went to Head Cook.
Now I'm kitchen manager and I've been on their payroll almost 11 years, and I did two years with the senior aid before I got on with them.
So total 've been here close to about 13 years.
I have people that are newcomers that's coming in and saying, they wish that they had places like this in the different cities that they lived in where they could go and get a hot meal.
And so they are really appreciative of us being here.
And I think it's real good to be able to serve the people so they don't be hungry.
