I know I have people that I can always reach out to, if I wanna come play a show.

And I think that my first, you know, kind of dipping my toe back in the water situation is definitely coming back home, 'cause it's really comfortable.

I don't feel pressure.

I know all of y'all, like I feel comfortable here, I feel comfortable everywhere I've been so far.

So yeah, it's definitely like a comfort zone for me.

I love playing with my family.

It will never not happen, probably.

I'm just at the point right now where I'm ready to develop like, myself by myself.

And I think that I had spent a lot of time collaborating and doing things with other people, and playing with other people, and being on other people's projects.

And I think I'm ready to just kind of focus on myself a little bit and build myself up, before I'm ready to start bringing like other people, even my family, even my brother back into the mix, because I'm still establishing, like who Tori Vasquez is again.

It's a different person just, not completely different, but a little bit, a little bit different.

I took what I think was a very much needed break, of just living normal life in the city and taking a break from music.

Still appreciating and listening to it, and trying to think creatively, but you know, now I'm ready to get back out there again, I think.

It's been long enough and I think, you know, the past two and a half years has definitely given me a lot to say, and a lot more energy, and excitement to continue my journey with music.

(laughing) I think that I have built up a lot more confidence, and thoughts of my own, and feelings of my own.

Not that I didn't have them before.

I just didn't know how to, like convey them just yet.

And now I feel like I do have more of an idea of what I wanna say, how I wanna say it, and just a new passion and feeling for, you know, what's going to happen moving forward.

And I think I wanna be more precise and more, I don't wanna say picky, because I'm not really a picky person, but I do, I am the person now that knows more what I want than I did before, that's for sure.

I think naturally, I'm probably going to continue to ease into things again, but at the same time if someone is like, "Hey, you wanna go on tour?"

Like, I'm gonna say yes right away.

That is one of the things I've missed the most was getting to travel, see different places, meet different people and play the same music for different people to get different reactions, and just enjoy the different energies that you, you know, get to come across while traveling the world, traveling the US, traveling Europe.

With everything that's happened in the past few years, I think that my writing style has just been, like I don't wanna call it, it's like just don't care because, but it kind of is that.

I mean, it had to turn into, just whatever is on your mind in this instant, write it down right now.

I just told myself, "Just put it down.

Whatever it is in your mind, just put it down.

It doesn't even have to make sense.

It doesn't have to be about anything."

And that's how I came up with the very first song that I played tonight.

No filters, no judgment, that's hard.

It's really hard to not judge yourself.

It's really hard to not be your own worst enemy, and I think I've been that kinda my whole life, and I'm starting to slowly let go.

And that's one of them is really no filter, no judgment.

Just get it out, whatever it is.

And then if you wanna use it, you can, if you don't then you don't.

And I think that that's been really helpful for me.
