I'm Jen Jaros with Duluth Public Schools, Early Childhood Family Education.
The reason we hold Transporation Night, or even call it Transportation Night, is because that's a pretty big giant word is that if we model language and vocabulary like that for children.
They'll use it too.
And so we know kids love to look out the window at the garbage truck and the big diggers and all the things.
And there's a lot of language and vocabulary that goes with that.
Were here representing the library and showing off how we get to bring the library out to the community so kids can check out books.
We also have free books with us on the hand.
Just wanted to come see all the the cool big trucks that they got around town.
This is actually our truck from work, so I had to come down and see that.
Get the little guy out here.
He is obsessed with them.
We have licensed educators and licensed early childhood teachers.
And so the state of Minnesota is the only state that licenses parent educators in their public schools.
And, we recognize that parenting is a a tough job, that parents are a child's first and most important teacher, that what parents are modeling at home is what kids are learning.
It's really all about the family.
