High school footballers' deaths renew sports risks debate

Xavier McClain of Linden was on life support before he died

Safety guidelines surrounding high school football are once again being scrutinized after a high school football player from Linden died nearly two weeks after being critically injured during a game. Xavier McClain suffered from an apparent traumatic brain injury. The tragedy isn’t the only death to rock a high school football team this season.
