Football.
Here on GPB Prime, stop, stop with the football Friday's here in the great state of Georgia.
We welcome you in to another night of high school football here on the great, GPB guilt Tyree along with Tremont Daniel high on top hallford, Stadium at tonight.
Here on GPB, a great battle in region, 6, 5 a between the Tucker, tigers and the host, Southwest DeKalb Panthers.
Let's start with the catfight.
Let's start with the Tucker Tigers.
Yeah, the Tucker Tigers coming off a 15 and 0 season, state champions.
They've got their eyes on that prize and they've got the same guy leading them in that direction and that's quarterback, Joanne Williams, 15 and 0 season last year.
This guy is the main spoke in the Tucker wheel.
He is easily the most talented guy and he's got 16 Division One.
College scholarship offers already.
Everything is going to go through him on the offensive side of the ball, on the defensive side of the ball.
They got a junior, a big old kid six-foot-six 305 pounds.
Elijah Shaw, he's clogging things up in the middle.
They need that big body in the middle deal because there's going to be four or five, maybe six different ball.
Carriers for Southwest DeKalb, they need a big guy in there to clog things up and when we talk about Southwest did cab.
We gotta talk about bug Godfrey, 30 years here, and he's still getting it done and still ticking at right now.
The Panthers are in the thick of it tray, when it comes to region, play heading into tonight.
Yeah, Gil, I always say that DeKalb County football is so much better when Southwest DeKalb is in the mix and there in the mix this season and it starts in the same place that it always does for but Godfrey and that's in the backfield this time.
He's got four five, six, guys, three seniors specifically that he's going to give the ball to tonight in Gerard Owens, Malik Wright, and Clayton Davenport by the way, they're starting wide receiver.
Robert Bryce is actually their leading rusher so we'll see him as well.
A three-headed monster expect, one of these guys to have the hot hand and for them to go to that guy, repeatedly tonight on the defensive side of the ball for Southwest DeKalb inside linebacker.
Josh, Patrick is a big hitter, he leads the team in tackles him along with BT Johnson, his fellow inside linebacker and those nose tackles, they're going to have their work cut out for him because it's no secret that Tucker runs a lot of misdirection with the wing T and they've got the unenviable task.
You love trying to stop mr. Joanne Williams.
All right.
It shapes up.
To be a Dandy battle here.
Now let's go.
To the third member of our crew here tonight.
Jon Nelson Nelly.
It's all yours.
Thank you GT.
Good evening to you, and to tray, when we talk about but Godfrey and his 30th year, it's safe to say he's a Lion in Winter or really, he's a panther in winter, but don't talk about retirement.
Because he said, at the beginning of the year, the good Lord willing I'll be around for a while.
Even though we are grooming some of the assistant coaches, you talk about God for you, talk about a man who was a 357 at Delaware State, he's in the athletic Hall of Fame there, he batted.
511 his senior year and was voted by the student newspapers, one of the greatest captains of all time, he's published three books, two of them on poetry, and he's even working on an autobiography of his old high school coach.
And he was also a part of one of the most influential Little League teams in the history of the sport denied, the chance to play out of Charleston, South Carolina, as they wanted to go to Williamsport in 1955.
So we got a lot of history with but Godfrey.
And with these two squads, guys, let's send it upstairs and light.
This candle I jumped at you.
He's a Very giant bug Godfrey.
The great English ghost at Southwest DeKalb and English teacher at church.
Today, Tracy McDaniel are keys to success tonight.
First with Tucker.
Well, they've got a rectify, the little things, they lost a sea of Stevenson last week and snap the 20 game win.
Streak coach Lamar said because they didn't do the little things.
Well, a lot of silly mistakes and they've got to stay patient on offense.
The wing.
T doesn't always produce the big plays, but if they stay with it, I believe it will pay dividends tonight.
And on the Southwest DeKalb side, there keeps the success tonight.
Well, they've got to believe and that's all comes from their coach.
But God for he believes they've got athleticism, but he thinks they need to mature a little bit and start to put that together.
And they've got to be strong up the middle.
Like, I just mentioned, especially on defense, because they got to play assignment football and be very disciplined against that wing-t.
Attack at Southwest DeKalb, won the toss, they elected to defer, and they will kick off and Tucker will be back to receive and kicking off for Southwest.
DeKalb will be the place kicker the sophomores 6 ft. 150 pounder, Marvin Ellis and back to receive.
For be Tucker, Tigers will be Joe Farrar and Steven Reynolds Dominick Sanders and Devon town.
Kick went out of bounds Gil and that's what coach Godfrey told us this week, that he's going to do a lot of gimmick kicking because he's very worried about all those guys down there.
Returning kicks for Tucker and the flag on the play the referees tonight.
You see, our crew headed up by government Williams like 30% Jarius longer, young and Elmore Benton, your officiating crew from the Georgia High School Association in here tonight.
So Tucker will take over first and 10.
With that gentleman, you Jalan way.
As we saw a lot of him last year in the championship game in the for a gets Lovejoy and you see the interest right there, in fact, had a recent visit to Oregon, the guy knows how to get it done first attempt at their old, 35, that's Williams great drop back.
Looking long on the flag in the post route and the pass is incomplete.
The intended receiver out there was Dominick Sanders, let's take a look at the offense, brought to you by our good friends by Regions Bank, And it look at the Tucker Tigers offense.
Of course Rigby and Jonathan Connor, and Elijah showing that offensive line, a lot of great beef on that offensive line.
You see, Amino and Sanders Lampkin Rivers?
We love Dallas rivers and John see, Rivers as well.
The offense brought to you by Regions Bank second and 10 at the 35, and they give and going and sweeping around that edge is number 35.
That is Dallas Rivers.
He picks up five to the 40.
Let's take a look at the South The cab Panther defense again, brought to you by our good friends at our Region's Bank, they play a three for love, Lafayette, Kemp Baron pool in the middle and we're meal Crawford, the linebacking crew and trade talks, a lot about Joshua.
Patrick Brian Thomas in the middle and you see Roman coats and you see five safeties to On The Edge.
And of course they are headed up by Jaylon French and we love him so much third and five at the 44.
Tucker spinning, that's Williams and being pushed back, forward, progress.
Got Him for about the 44.
Yeah, look like Justin.
Justin Mincey came into senior free safety and made a first down.
Saving tackle on Juwan Williams up to that point.
They had showed the same look on the previous couple of plays even when they went deep.
But here Joanne Williams calls his own number and mincing.
Does a great job of coming up and run support?
He's going to need to do that a lot tonight.
It'll be fourth and inches at the 44.
It looks like the Tigers.
Tomorrow, but I'll go for it, the hard cap, and they give and stacked up.
And he's not going to get a tray.
He is pushed back and it looked like it was Justin Lin, see, but a lot jumps them in.
See, on the tackle, but stopping the play over there.
Well, a number 25, and that was Dallas River.
You said they have some beef on the offensive line, but they've got some beef in Dallas Rivers, but he ran right up the back of his Center.
Number 54, Ian Rigby, and that gave men see in the other.
ER safeties, you talked about, there's four of them out there time to get up there and make the tackle and support, but it was just enough, it appears to be maybe a first down, or have they given the ball over the Southwest DeKalb?
They did give it a chance possession.
So it will go over.
There was gutsy call by Brian Lamar.
You see him on the sidelines, replace Franklin Stevens, and of course was down at Stockbridge as a basketball coach.
Also, former defensive coordinator at Tucker and a graduate of Tucker.
I'm a are it'll be first intent.
Great field position.
But Godfrey and Lease out the West Southwest DeKalb Panthers, and turning the corner on the sweet but he is hemmed in and push back, was Elijah show on The Tackle and it was Malik Wright.
Who tried to get moving around?
You're going to take a look at the quarterback for the Southwest DeKalb Panthers, take a look at him right there.
Number two, and that is Marquez Gilmore five foot eight 170 pounds.
On a single kind of reminds me tray of Troy Smith, the former quarterback at Ohio State, a big legs.
That's good.
That's a great call.
He's still trying to come into his own little bit, but I felt like in talking to coach copy this week that he felt confident that Gilmore is starting to turn the corner, especially in the past game and Gilmore.
Tried to find a receiver and he doesn't he's inside the 10, the 5 down to around the tooth.
And that was just in Mincey.
On the receiving end, you'll did.
There's a flag on the field but it didn't take long to get Justin Mincey involved.
He's listed as the third tight end in their offense, but you can see why they want to get him the ball.
He's got a brother playing division.
One college football at the next level.
It's a legacy here at Southwest DeKalb.
Very talented guy, but I believe this one is going to get called back.
Let's check the penalty.
They're gonna call personal foul, didn't get a number, but a personal foul on, Southwest DeKalb, nullifies, a huge play in this.
Ball games that use flex Ray, got them 45 yards and they'll take it from the spot of the foul.
You'll miss the only with three catches on the season coming in here.
So you see an early wrinkle by but Godfrey, he knows he was fortunate to get a turnover on Downs, inside Tucker territory, and he wants to try to capitalize on that, but the penalty really hurt them.
It'll be a spot of the foul penalty guy.
So instead of going all the way back to where the ball the line of scrimmage wasn't backing up 15 yards, they'll give them the pick up yardage by mincing and then back him up the 15-yard.
So it's still results in a first down in a big play but just not as good as it could have been get a look at, but God freed in the sidelines and like we said, tonight is homecoming here at hallford, stadium for the Southwest the calf and it's Trey said, don't move it back with a spot of the foul.
Let's take a look at the Southwest DeKalb offense, brought to you, by our good friends, in Regions Bank, lovely meal, Crawford Henry, Henson in the middle Kyle Bailey and he see jail infirmary and then you see Marquis Ely, Roman coats, Malik bright and the baron full, Robert Bryce and keep your eye on Bryce and kids.
It's getting a whole lot of interest most notably from the University of Minnesota and the Tucker defense.
You see Jackson Elijah Shaw, Chauncey Rivers their defense brought to you by the starting lineups by our good friends.
At Regions Bank, the ponies on the edges and in the middle, you see the linebacking crew of use dukes and rivers, Dallas Rivers, going both ways and then three in the defensive backfield League.
East scheele who gets the start here tonight, Dominick Sanders at free safety, and Steven Reynolds also a late, add for coach Brian Lamar here tonight First and Ten at the We're Southwest DeKalb and they're driving 9:29 in the opening period.
There in the wild cat.
And they give and moving downhill inside the 15 down to about the 10-yard line.
It looked like that was Bryce.
I was Clayton Davenport.
All right.
Clayton Davenport on the garage.
So that'll take it down to about the 16 or 14.
Correct me.
So, that'll make it second and five as a fourteen.
Nine minutes to go here in the opening quarter.
Same formation of guilt, with the Wildcat of the Wildcat, and rights and motion, having fake gift to write, and turning the corner, and stumbling and bumbling and getting out of Bounds at about the 10-yard line of close to the 10 was Robert Bryce.
So you taken a lost about your trade should say.
So move it back to about the 15th?
Yeah, well loss of one.
One thing that's been coach.
Godfrey's Mo over the last couple years is he's become very multiple on the offensive side of the ball.
You'll see a lot of formations you'll see a lot of different guys lined up in the backfield at wide receiver.
Pretty much everybody that's in a skill position on this team is available to play any other skill position on this team.
He's going to do that to try to keep Tucker on their heels because he knows how athletic their defense is.
There's the first big play of the night on offense.
They're going to come out again in the Out cat, the Wildcat price to the near side and he Lie To The Far Side Right In Motion and rolling out.
And the pass is complete and it looked like that was Ali at about the 10 dad, go about the nine.
Yeah, they keep Robert Bryce in the senior wide receiver, who we talked at the top was a little ironic that they have a wide receiver who leads them in rushing.
And now he comes out on three consecutive plays in the quarterback position and finds his man.
And in Ely, but now we've got a fourth down and short for Southwest DeKalb will see if they have the same gutsy move that coach Lamar did and they try to go for it.
I do not see a punter on the field.
Well, you know, but Gottfried in the conference call talked about these kicking game.
He said it's anemic at best.
So you know, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize they're going to try to go for it on fourth down, and that might be a delay.
Guilt took an awful.
Long time to get the Personnel change in.
Add an illegal substitution.
And again, you see the sideline and buck Godfrey not happy at all.
Yeah, that's a 12 Min in the Huddle Gil.
They substituted product players.
And at the last second, let's take a look at the, the cap resume under that gentleman tray, take us through an incredible resume.
It is two-time state champion, 72 and most recently in 95 16 region championships last one in This is the most incredible stat evolved Gill.
They've made the playoffs 34 of the last 40 years, 1983 to 2000 186 41 in one porch, but Godfrey has a 270 wins for this program 119 All State players 10.
In the NFL deck, I said, the Cab County football is at its best when Southwest DeKalb is humming along.
Good evening, John Nelson, good evening, GT.
Good evening, train.
You guys were talking about how things have gone for but Godfrey on the field with 270 winds, we've got a Fancy graphic to tell you where he is later on when it comes to being in the state.
But, but let's look at what he's been able to do with diplomas and sheepskin.
You look at all of those results.
With all of those players who have graduated gotten scholarships gotten master's degrees, become clergy, and even become involved in DeKalb County Schools and you talked about how well-rounded his impact has been, and you see kids coming back as adults.
And you see, once again, our commander Steve Graham is another one of those examples.
About what Southwest DeKalb has done, and the impact, but Godfrey has had on a lot of Southwest DeKalb Panthers, guys.
And the list goes on and on, and on, and they're going to attempt to feel gold out of the person of Ellis.
It'll be a 32-yard it for Marvin, Ellis they spot it and it is blocked.
And that is a loose football and it's still loose and recovered by Southwest the cab at their own 40-yard line.
Look like it was blocked by number.
55 Solomon, Jackson for Tucker.
He came up in the inside, he didn't even have to lay out.
It just got those big paws up in the air and knock the ball down.
As you see Ellis makes his approach and you talked about the anemic kicking game, just a moment ago Gil, you see Solomon Jackson getting up in the air there and get the piece of that.
That was a very low trajectory for such a close kick, a 32-yard field goal all for naught.
So you get the turnover on Downs.
The big plate of men, see couple, early penalties, and you're unable to capitalize with points that Turn into something big.
As we move into the third and fourth quarter, it was pretty solid, Sally Jackson, getting a whole lot of looks and an outstanding talent.
And Coach, Lamar raved about him on a conference call First and Ten at the 40 and going straight ahead for South for we should say tucker.
That's Elijah Sullivan.
It gets over the 40 up to about the 45 yell at the top.
We talked about the minié ball carriers that Southwest DeKalb was going to have in the game tonight.
But remember when we covered this state championship team last year, in the Georgia Dome, the Tucker Lovejoy game.
They've got a lot of guys, get in the game and get in the action to from a ball carrier standpoint.
Elijah Sullivan number two or three on the depth chart already.
A carry here in the first quarter Tucker running out of the wing T second and seven at the 43 Williams under Center.
And he drops back Throws it in a flat and has a man over Midfield and getting into swb territory at the 45 yard line.
And that's Dallas Rivers.
The big fullback, a gain of 11 first down sucker Rivers is the motion man coming from right to left and he chips on the end of the line of scrimmage there.
The defensive end just gets a little bit of Peace of them, then turns around and becomes ineligible wide receiver.
In a nice gain after the catch, he is the go-to guy in the back field.
He'll probably get the bulk of the carries tonight.
First and 10 at 46, that's Rivers trying to get on the edge but gets nowhere.
He has stopped down there making this stuff for the Southwest DeKalb Panthers and making a great stop.
Was number 44.
That was Devon, Coney on the stop.
Yeah, it was Gerard Owens.
The man who will see carry the football.
Tonight he came up from his defensive end position Gil, and set the edge, he contained if you will and that's what allowed rivers or Forestry.
To get turned inside with the linebackers could come in and help out second and 10 second and 12, I should say at the 47 and sweeping around and getting nowhere and getting tripped up.
That was look like it was rivers.
And on this, stop for Southwest DeKalb was chasing McGee among those on the stop for, but God, for an in company, you see their clock here, scoreless here in the opening period at Halford.
Stadium here in Clarkston, Georgia.
Just a reminder, next week, we will be here as well.
See MLK against Stephenson.
That should be a Dandy this region 6 tray.
5A is a whole lot of mess right now.
It is and I love it, especially here, as the weather starts to turn in region play, really starts to matter and playoff time as is close at hand, third and long facing Tucker.
Williams, looking along for his receiver, has a man out there and it is complete and he is out of Bounds at about the 8 yard line.
Dominick Sanders and a great brab of 40 yards, first and goal for the Tigers, you'll take you back to their first possession.
First play of the game, they tried to run Dominick Sanders down.
The far hash on a seam route this time, they go down the sideline with him and he makes a great catch hard to concentrate on the ball like that.
When it's close to being kicked by the safety safety Gamble's here, tries to cut in front and make the big play.
He's unable to pull it down and great concentration by Sanders, they're going to Mark him out.
You saw worst Foot went out there, but either way, first, down and goal, Tucker.
First, big play on offense for the tiger.
There you go.
First and goal at the tendon and that is no gain, and possibly a loss getting up off of that pile and look like Rivers, Devon phony coming in to make the tackle here.
There you see Devin, Coney been a busy man on defense.
On this particular possession.
We're going to take a break.
Tucker driving, five minutes to go in the opening quarter.
We're scoreless here and Clarkston, you're watching gpb's exclusive coverage of football Fridays in Georgia.

Oh, wow, on Nova sciencenow, Wednesday at 10:00 on GPB.
The Tucker Band saying this may be SW D's homecoming but we are representing into and let's go down to the sidelines and our John Nelson is representing Nelly.
Nothing like having some background music for this particular update as we've done the last couple of weeks.
And as we're going to continue to do well, let you know on key matchups going on around the state and let you know about key regions, you need to pay attention to when it comes to life going on as we head to the third season.
Big upset Brewing, right now, over on gpb.org in Region, 5, 6, 8.
Only 36 Milton leading Lassiter in the second and you look at the region standings right there, that's one.
And two also on the board Walton and Wheeler are tied at seven right now so that could throw everything in the blender.
When it comes to that particular region, guys would see what happens now with the second down play back upstairs or see me.
It's that kind of Friday night and Walton and Milton still gotta play things.
Get a little bit crazy.
Gill, like I said, when the weather starts to change and these teams who struggled early on, start to find their way and see what works, and what doesn't work and starts to weed out the Stuff that doesn't work.
I think Lassiter has got a chance to win a state championship, and they're, they're getting tested.
Second and goal that look like it was Rivers spinning his way inside the 10 down to about the 7-yard line.
Southwest DeKalb defense, really.
Tightening up, since the big pasta Dominick Sanders, they have a chance to do what was just done to them by Tucker, right?
And that's poured off a touchdown drive and force a field goal attempt for Tucker, of course Tucker blocked, a 32-yard or just moments ago to keep Southwest DeKalb off the board.
Third and goal for Tucker at the S WD 6 Williams.
The give and trying to look for The End Zone.
But it's pushed back in a great defensive stand by Southwest DeKalb and that was Sanders, and he was stopped dead in his tracks.
Train, no, gain stop by that big hitter.
We talked about Joshua, Patrick the inside linebacker comes up and that's textbook guys.
Any kids watching at home.
That's a Textbook tackle right there, Dominick Sanders, not a guy known for going backwards.
He's a good finisher, but not on that particular case.
Joshua, Patrick was in just the right spot.
Made a great tackle and it looks like they're going to go for it again.
They've already been stopped on Fourth and short.
Once this one's fourth and six, fourth and goal to be exact from the six.
Fourth and goal at the 6 is trade just said you see the Man in Motion Williams, drop back.
Looking in the end zone and it's a jump ball and it's incomplete.
And the intended receiver over there for Tucker.
It looked like tray number 10 and it falls incomplete.
It's a well-designed play, Gill, but Southwest DeKalb, didn't fall for it.
Robert Bryce was in the right spot.
There he goes up.
He has inside position anytime a corner or defensive back as input side position.
Like that aminu just doesn't have a chance right there because IMA me know their go-to guy in the passing game and you see Robert Bryce Is a guy who plays both ways gilby.
See, a lot of guys night playing both ways, but coach Godfrey said he reminds them of Hassan G. That's pretty High.
Praise basketballs incomplete to cosima.
Me, no 6-foot 175-pound senior, you see, Brian Lamar.
We talked a lot about the offense that was going to be Showcase tonight.
But here in the early going, it's the defense taking center stage and Gilmore calls a timeout and wants to talk it over that's before the flag came down and Trey you You talked about that it comes down to time management and being able to get the job done right.
Now they're struggling, both these football teams and we're only on.
Check us out next Friday, football.

That's the number two and number three, teams ranked in the top 10 in this five, a classification.
We're in the right spot.
Guild is exactly where GPB needs to be this week and next, some of the best football Ball played across the state of Georgia is played right here in this Stadium at hallford.
Stadium in DeKalb County, get a chance to see coach gartrell Reggie Baul calling signals for him right now.
Really you taught me something?
I didn't know Gil.
Well that could be a safety tray.
Yeah, he was tackled Right In The End Zone.
I was 10 and we're waiting for the preliminary at best.
That's number seven.
Team Chauncey Rivers, watch him come up from his linebacker position that my friend is textbook and I don't know if that's going to be considered a fumble or not.
Gerard Owens got nailed.
They're going to say that Owens Made it across the goal line.
Before he got hit, just barely and it was not a fumble, it might have sidestep the landmine their heels Ellie Jackson on us stop, and they tried to run it out and that slew of Tucker Defenders are right there on the stop a very predictable.
They Gil when you're backed up second down and ten or eleven and that case 13 to be exact here, your own goal line quarterback, sneaks the right call to make.
But right now, this is a very big play because they're kicking game is lacking speaking of Southwest DeKalb.
And if they've got upon his area on the field, it could spell trouble.
They need to pick up at least five or six yards.
Not even a first down, just to give himself some breathing room on the punt attempt to travel in the form of a short field.
Healy is wide right Gilmore.
Center.
And they're going to poach it out, and it takes a Southwest DeKalb bounce, but taken at his own 40 and that's Dominick Sanders with straight grain.
In front of him down incidents in the end.
Yes.
Touchdown touchdown.
Tucker.
42 yards.
No Flags.
You'll Dominick Sanders did.
Some work right there but he got a phenomenal block right around the 25-yard line on the far end of the field.
I couldn't see the number from up here but it really sprung him and set up a wall.
You see our touchdown replay brought to you by technical college system of Georgia, Jalen, French with a soccer style rugby style kick And you should be able to see the block.
Right there and that's what sprung him down the sideline, his speed did the rest of it.
And finally we got some points on the board came in the special team.
And now you see, they go for two, neither one of these teams really trusting their kicking game right now.
And that looks like Chauncey River.
Don't see, whatever is on the two-point conversion on the two-point conversion from Williams to make.
It ain't nothing Tucker over Southwest DeKalb and which you mentioned the touchdown replay.
That's Trey, said, brought to you by our good friends at tcsg.
Learn more earn more.
The soccer style kick and take a look at this, the kick, the bailout kick, low rugby style and it takes the Southwest to cat.
Bounce and taking out on the first top and Sanders, and he gets clear sailing and does a really tight roll back down that left, sideline and gets in for the touchdown.
And here, and this 2 point conversion, a little jump pass from Williams to the big tight end.
See rivers and just like that.
The Tucker tigers with an eight nothing lead and you see the sideline happy sideline.
And look at that sophomore, he's going to be a good one.
By the time he leaves Tucker 604 and 220 pounds and he fills out every measurable of that.
So Tucker.
We'll put it out and back to receive or French rice and healing.
Get it out and spinning ezeli.
He gets over the 20-yard line up to about the 22.
I've got frieden company trailing 8.
Nothing will take over first and 10 right there.
151 here, in the opening period.
Mark's then and what should be a dynamite ballgame shaping up for homecoming and got over here this afternoon you see the best band in the land.
190 strong one of the best parts about coming to see us Southwest DeKalb game, not to take anything away from the athletes on the field or what coach Godfrey is built.
But it's just such an added pleasure to the atmosphere, at a Southwest DeKalb game.
They draw as many people as the football players do, right?
Directed by.
The state has done an outstanding job, they played at a presidential inauguration, also played a tournament or a z, that's the end of sailing and getting up to the 40 yard line and then I send around as Gerard Owens at a run of about 19 and that'll be a Southwest the cab first down tray.
They needed, you know, we talked about who was going to have the upper hand early from the stable of running backs for the Panthers and Gerardo and Stakes his claim and says, give me the ball.
Feed me.
Mix a couple.
Nice moves there in space.
That's what these Southwest DeKalb.
Backs are the most dangerous skills when they get into the second level First and Ten at the 39 and there in that Wildcat right now and running it is Robert Bryce.
Right in motion and Bryce's, stood up Falls forward, gets over close to the 37 yard line.
Chauncey Rivers comes in.
Gill with a guy whose name you've heard a lot here in the early going were only 11 minutes into the game and Chauncey Rivers.
Darn near had a safety.
It's called a two-point conversion and he just made, I don't even know what kind of tackle.
He just had a, just a thread of Bryce's jersey knit able to tackle for a tube.
Lost Chauncey Rivers doing everything tonight.
Gilmore back in for Southwest DeKalb facing a second and long and falling.
Forward is Malik Wright.
Lik like gets over the 40 yard line Gil.
They checked yo more back in the game at quarterback.
Back, as you mentioned in this lineup and a power, I formation behind him, the play before that you get the fake Jet, Sweep the Malik Wright, the play before that you have Robert Bryce in at quarterback spell out a rabbit out of his hat.
Tonight coach Godfrey is to try to keep this Tucker defense off-balance.
Yeah, guessing the whole time, he's got me guessing that us all guessing that's going to be the end of the first quarter with the score Tucker rate and Southwest DeKalb nil homecoming here.
And Clarkston, you're watching, Georgia High School Association football on Georgia Public Broadcasting.
You we know you, we know, you have to rise early and work late with, not enough sleep in, between how you sometimes need to get over to that exit, like right now and how things aren't just about you anymore.
Introducing the all-new smart, sensing Honda Accord.
It starts with you.
This week on Georgia traveler.
We search for the largest creature's ever on Earth at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta, then onto Whitesburg will will show you an even more complex game of golf.
Next, we head to Savannah, where we'll get caught up in an entertaining battle at Sea and finally, we get to rest in the Blue Ridge Mountains with the 360 degree views of Lucille's, Mountaintop in all that and more on the next Georgia Traveler Welcome back to chance of a lifetime.
It's the final stage of the game.
And it's also time for Jane to choose a door helper out.
What door should she pick?
All right, so Jane which door did you choose?
Think I'm gonna go with door.
Number two or number.
Oh, wait a minute.
It looks like it says right here that you never graduated high school.
So none of these doors are available to you.
That's it for chance of a lifetime.
We'll see you next time.

Monday at 9:00 on GPB.
GPB winner of 11 Emmy Awards, including station Excellence.
Thank you for your support.
Some of the festive atmosphere here at homecoming.
2012 for Southwest DeKalb as they Trail.
The Tucker Tigers here on GPB.
As we start, the second quarter downstairs to John Nelson Nelly.
Thank you.
GT festivities are always festive at homecoming.
Let's talk about this particular region and everything begins and ends with the old saying to be the man.
You got to beat the man.
Here's what happened last year at the Dome.
It was a stifling defensive effort for Franklin Stevens and the Tucker.
Tigers knocking out Lovejoy to get the title, and bring it back to Tucker.
So let's see how things are developing this year when it comes to the region.
And you see the Log Jam up at the top, it's the upper half its five teams heading for four slots but there's a lot of action happening tomorrow.
ML King at the ladder up to the top of the ladder has Lakeside tomorrow and Stephenson gets Miller Grove tomorrow.
So with the impact of this particular game right now on GPB things will be set up and you'll see how things are going to fall out with teams for.
And five as we head toward teams, one, two and three here in the second quarter guys, take it away.
And that's why Trey said, John at next week's game, which is on us.
It's Titanic between Stevenson and MLK.
But I'll tell you one thing about those Lovejoy.
Wildcat Sally Hughes love him as use that as motivation.
Yes, he has because he got a whole lot of young uns and they're on their way with a mission to get back to the Georgia, Dome in Atlanta and December.
No other no other coach that we talked to last year.
Gave me the feeling that he loved his players.
Any more than Coach Hughes?
Absolutely love getting to know him last year.
I'll just wanted to tweet and said we got it done and seven-on-seven drills as well, and we're not going to stop and that's Clinton Davenport running downhill getting in Tucker territory it about the Tucker 47.
Well, executed play here by the Panthers, good blocking on the outside as well and then a night stuff, run by Davenport, just enough to pick up the first down and move the ball inside Tucker territory running game.
Fits and starts here, but they have had some success, but nothing consistent.
We'll see if coach Godfrey comes out in a multiple of formations here, or just sticks with what's working, Cory Hunter.
Among those on the stop for Tucker First and Ten at the 47 and stumbling and getting through is Malik Wright.
He's a little Scat Pack, he gets over the 45 down to the 44.
And like you said tray.
They continue to run, downhill, Jackson and matching and trying to throw Tucker off.
Balance defensively and Gillett start, when you, when you have a good run, downhill running game, like Southwest DeKalb.
It always starts with the offensive line and they've got some good guys up front, especially the senior number 61 on re Henson.
He's really there.
Bright spot at Center.
He makes everything go for him.
Second and eight.
And we have flags and whistles Guild stoppage of play.
Excuse me, this is the second time on this possession, that Elijah saw the big guy that we spotlighted tonight.
Playing nose tackle has jumped the gun and got an offside penalty on the defense.
So, 10 of the Yards that they've picked up and this possession have come complements a big number 70 encouragement and that'll bring up.
And you see sha, Allah Jewish, aw, he's a big into three bills and then some And the interest drawing a whole lot of interest to and they just blew up that last play, take a look at it right now.
On one of those blown-out up was Tucker.
Yeah that's your that's your guy again guilt, that's Kurt Tucker.
The pony linebacker 6 180 pounds.
They've got a lot of guys on the defensive side of the ball, the Tigers do.
That could play a multitude of positions because in theory their defense is a 335.
But these guys that are considered safety is the right and left Pony, they're really more linebackers that are good back in coverage so they can do a lot of things and mix and match on the defensive side of the ball coach Lamar has a lot of choices at his disposal when it comes to defense.
Third and long as a.
Create again, we have a stoppage of play and flags.
They're going to call false start on Southwest DeKalb, so they get into Tucker territory.
Elijah Shaw, jumps off sides, gives them an extra five yards, something stuff, starting to work for Southwest to cab and then they jump offsides.
So they're doing this little dance in between the 45 yard lines here.
And they've set themselves up with third down and very long and they go back to the shotgun 4S W, DF s WD Ford penalties and for 30 yards, that's Gilmore fires it, and the pass is incomplete.
The intended receiver out there with Jalen French and that ball was almost picked off.
Yeah, it's going to, it's going to bring up a punting situation.
Marquez, gilmar, put a lot of zip on that ball, just a little bit too tall for Jaylyn French Jalen French go only five foot eight.
66 pounds and accurate.
Throw their would have given him a chance, but now they're going to have to punch in a rush like, in a conventional formation for the first time tonight.
When Bridges will punt, add its own 35-yard line.
Quentin Bridges only punting tonight Gil.
Because Jacob Riley, their normal.
Punters out with a bad knee and bridges, boots has, and taking it is Sanders and still spinning around, but he's pushed back, push back to about the 26 yard line.
It's a new season of Georgia traveler.
It starts this Sunday October 21st when David celski and crew traveled to Whitesburg for a game of disc golf.
Savannah for an entertaining battle at Sea in the Blue Ridge Mountain, the Lucille's Mountaintop in all that and more catch the premiere of season six.
This Sunday October 21st, 7 p.m. with all new shows around the great state of Georgia.
There traveler team is looking forward.
Good in a big way, David's house key set up that night.
He's had a big lead sometimes you know you man.
man about town.
He's a man about the state.
You never know when he's going to turn up in a city near you or in the neighborhood.
Are you?
Williams and the shotgun want to keep it out of that, out of that formation, which is the wing T, and he is pushed back.
Can't watch him.
Pull the lineman from the right side.
Over shoots me from the left side, over to the right side, right?
But getting inside of all that message inside linebacker, the senior BT Thomas.
We talked about how him and his counterpart Joshua.
Patrick going to have to be very busy tonight because of the misdirection that's the first time we really see some heavy.
Correction by Tucker, Southwest DeKalb Rose to the challenge there.
Second and 11 at the 31 rolling out, is Williams.
Still on his feet sweeps, the side and out of bounds over the 40 down to the 41 and speaking of mr. Thomas, senior linebacker at Southwest DeKalb.
Will celebrate his 18th birthday next.
Saturday is the son of dr. Brian L, we a Doctor, Brian L, Thomas assistant principal at Stevenson Middle School.
And he's been a product of the Cab County School District for over.
16 years in Brian Thomas being recruited by several colleges with three offers.
His dad is the athletic director at Stephen middle.
School funding, Middle School, football champions.
So we're still am are the bright Thomas, Brian and Thomas the senior linebacker at Southwest, the cab he was in on that stopped a few plays ago.
Yes, a happy birthday.
Cool.
23 tackles on the season, three tackles for loss.
He did a great job using his speed to get Williams out of bounds.
And because of it Williams, is going to be about a yard and a half shy of the first down.
Down.
So a big third down play here for Tucker.
There's the birthday boy.
Nothing much happening offensively for both of these school.
The only score we have guilt tonight is a Dominick Sanders punt, return for a touchdown and the two-point conversion, 31 at the 42, and that's a no game and possibly a loss.
Yeah, there's Beauty.
Thomas his partner-in-crime Joshua.
Patrick fired up right there as well, he should be.
Would you like that guy bearing down on you, Gil.
Six-foot 230-pound her returning tackler.
He's the stat stuff for the team Gil.
He's got thirty eight tackles on the season.
Using the new leads the team five tackles for loss couple interceptions as well couple sacks.
And he just saved the first down right there.
So when they've needed it, Southwest two cabs defense has been great and short short.
Yardage situations when Tucker gets themselves into that.
Predicament Sadie with the punt and Southwest DeKalb will take it and down at their own 30 upon of 31 yards, Nelly, hello again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, good evening, GT this time we're going to focus on action in Region, 4, 6, 8, and there's a couple of scores of interest at the top of the ladder.
Let's look at how things were coming into tonight.
And you'll see that McEachern and North Cobb were one and two right now.
McEachern blowing out, North Cobb 4113, second quarter number three, Versus number four right now.
South Common Harrison Harrison needs the win there.
Four and two and three, and one in the region right now, they're leading South Cobb, 1413 second quarter.
So it looks like it's five teams again for four slots in this particular region, let's send it back upstairs.
I don't think you a spread look Chao Pai, Southwest the cab and Gilmore.
He got mailed as his receiver of the middle and that was a lie and it pulls incomplete at the 40-yard Line.
Train want you to piggyback off of what John said and he surprises that you saw it right there.
You know, I think all the way down on that graphic.
You saw all the way down to Hill, Grove has a chance to get getting the playoffs.
This year is going to be a war of attrition.
And that particular region you just saw Ali drop that pass from Gilmore coach Godfrey says, be on the lookout.
He said the Gilmore to Ely connection could turn into something special but they're still trying to develop that chemistry, second it down at the 29, Southwest Southwest DeKalb and the dark uniforms, who denied the dark blue Advance that trailing 8, nothing Gilmore price, takes it over Midfield into Tucker, territory at the Tucker 48, that gain of 21, and a first down, Southwest DeKalb, I like the way Gilmore loaded up and found his receiver.
He's dead space.
He's right, he's definitely got an arm Gil.
We saw that on a couple Aaron throws.
Especially the one that he made to Jalen French and their last possession.
And you can also see why coach likes Robert Bryce.
Oh no comparison to US.
Saint G that was a perfect route Sanders.
All the stop Gilmore, bonds price again, Spencer's Lake gets away from the would-be.
Tackler heads down the sidelines and pushed out of bounds inside the 35 down to about the Tucker.
31.
You'll watch the other first half, it'll be this will be a good shot at watch the hands catch here by Bryce, doesn't use the body, doesn't trap the ball at all and then makes a fantastic run after the catch, are you in a position and a first down, you got to be very impressed with him and he's getting a whole lot.
Looks one of which Minnesota the University of Minnesota in the Golden Gophers Rivers, Chauncey rivers on the stop.
What a first down at the Tucker 38 for swd and they're driving right now.
The spread look and Gilmore out of the shotgun plenty of time froze, over the far side, and the pass is complete.
That's French, and he's pushed back.
We'll see where they mark his forward progress.
Gil.
Looks like they're going to bring that almost all the way up to the 30 yard line.
And he was hit and taken back from that point.
I really like what I see right now at a Gilmore's arm, they line the ball up here on the near Saint, the near hash.
And he has to throw all the way back across his body to complete that pass, Steven Reynolds among those own has stopped and he's getting in a rhythm right now.
Marcus Gilmore, you see his numbers on the screen, courtesy of our outstanding staff, led by our producer and we're glad to have him back the commander.
Steve bran and the pass is incomplete and Gilmore had it loaded up, but he had Marquis here.
Out there and wide open through a guilt.
Kill, they run a combination, route out here on the far.
Sideline that got one guy cutting underneath.
One guy going deep down the seam and that's a lie, he was wide open.
But again, when you've seen Gilmore Miss on a pass it's because he's, you said he's loading up.
Well, he's getting into a rhythm, he's put a little bit too much zip on the football.
Steven Reynolds defending on the play.
He'll do right now.
4 of 7 and 77 yards, third and seven at the Tucker 35, but the Panthers and Southwestern cat Gilmore loading up and that pass is picked off and taking it over the 40 yard line.
Still looks face.
He's overly feeling.
Still gone.
That's your key Shelly, and he has brought down inside the panther 40-yard line, and the Tigers will have it first and 10 right there.
Yep.
And Gilmore missed high on that throw also Gilly had an open receiver but he missed high that every time he's missed tonight.
He's missed high you can see.
Drops his elbow down and throws the ball straight up in the air.
She'll use getting the start tonight.
He made a listed as a backup and about to Williams is hurt and boy, is he making the most of his Opportunity to start.
Little got a little Energizer Bunny in a Ghillie, not going down easy and he jumped around and he took it 43 yards and a turnover.
It sets It Up.
Little 59, 155 pounds pistol.
He's a sophomore and Rhino, marble loves every inch of that kid first intent at the swd, 42, and sweeping on the edge and rivers gets nothing.
In fact, he may have lost a couple All of life correctly.
In that Stephen towns, seven towns with a loss of about two or three.
Great job on the Southwest DeKalb defense, particularly that right side of the defensive line to continue to stretch that play out.
That's what you have to do against a speedy backfield and they're doing a great job a bit tonight.
That's been the bright spot tonight.
So far for Southwest DeKalb has been there inside 7, second and long.
Getting pushed out of bounds inside the 40-yard line down to a pop the, the Southwest DeKalb.
37-yard line is a mean.
Oh yeah, I mean it does a great job running after the catch but he gets chased down by that Ball Hawk that we keep talking about Joshua.
Patrick, he's making plays 5, 10 15 yards, down the field.
That's a very surprising stat Gil.
These are predominantly Nothing running teams.
They don't air it out a whole lot.
Only 24 yards on the ground, for Southwest DeKalb and perhaps more surprising.
Only 14, for the Tigers spinning out of Bounce.
Close to the 20 yard line as Williams, this will improve those rushing yards right here.
We haven't talked a lot about the Dual threat nature of Joanne Williams.
What we have talked about why?
16 different division, one universities are interested in him.
Great, run, right there, his best play of the night.
Right up to this point, it'll be a first down for the Tucker.
Tigers wanting to add on to an eight, nothing lead as we approach halftime here at hillford stadium.
In Clarkston, Georgia guilt.
I reach a McDaniel, John Nelson, and our outstanding crew from gpp the first of two here at hallford stadium in the coming weeks next week at the MLK and Stevenson Williams, loads up and looks for receiver and it falls incomplete, and there's a flag on the play.
And a receiver down there at the about the 10-yard line tray.
Dominick Sanders Sanders and I think they're going to call pass interference.
Gil on Southwest DeKalb because the defender and I couldn't see his number from here.
He just simply didn't get his head around.
If he gets his head around and he at least makes the officials aware that he's going after the ball.
I don't think he gets called for pass interference here.
This should be a good look at it right here.
Number 13, just not really getting his head around.
Although, in my opinion Gil, if I'm buying an official, I don't throw the flag right there, but they saw something.
I didn't pass interference.
Automatic first down in high school.
Gil pass interference is just simply a 15-yard penalty, it's not a spot of the foul.
If you're wondering where they're going to spot the ball, it's not like the NFL, you just Mark the ball, 15 yards but what it does, it sets them to up with 1st down and 10 at the 11, so they can get a first down here, without getting a touchdown.
Number 13 was chasing McGee First and Ten at the 20, You 544 and counting down until halftime Williams.
You see the man in motion and turning the corner with the football is Sanders still on his feet.
He looks like he's touchdown Tucker coming to amazing patients right there by Dominick Sanders little.
Stretch play to the right side, look for a second.
Like you might want to pull up and throw this football that he was just really secure in the ball.
Nice cut.
He just made three dark blue jerseys completely with that's his second touchdown of the night remember he had the punt return for a touchdown as well.
He accounts for all the scoring except for the two-point conversion.
In this football, touchdown replay brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more.
That will make this score 14.
Nothing with the opportunity to increase it for the Tucker.
Tigers over the Southwest DeKalb.
The snap.
The kick is up.
It looks good.
And it is good.
So with the score tub, you're 15.
Southwest DeKalb Hill, 534 here.

Next, we head to Savannah, where we'll get caught up in an entertaining battle at Sea and finally, we get to rest in the Blue Ridge Mountains with the 360 degree views of Lucille's mountain, top end, all that and more on the next Georgia Traveler Back here, 5:34 here until halftime, touchdown by Sanders to make it 15.
Nothing in the extra point.
Take a look at Sanders right now.
He said an outstanding night upon return and that one of foreplay 42 yard Drive the elapsed time.
A minute and five seconds, the scoring Drive brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more.
The Tucker tigers Tonight, Ray McDaniel.
Yeah.
Any other time this resume would be Center Stage but we saw the résumé from Southwest DeKalb earlier.
These are two Powerhouse programs.
Gil course, they won state championship.
Last year, we were able to cover that game here at the Dome on GPB.
They also won in 2008 Franklin, Stevens is gone.
Now, Brian Lamar is in.
He's taken a heck of a program this is my favorites.
Tag Gil one at least 13 games in for the past five seasons that is outstanding 142 and 19 since the decade turned over.
/ 14 region titles, I love this one to seven in the last 10 years and 88 undefeated regular seasons imported at Great.
Cadet tradition guys.
Like Thomas Brown, your buddy is your album Contra Claudius.
ProVari Davis, Patrick pass you name it tradition whether there's a real Georgia connection.
UGA connection with both of these schools have seen a lot of players.
And right now, George has got a couple really good ones and Ken Malcolm and TJ.
Stripling that both played a couple Go here for Southwest DeKalb.
You want to find good football players.
You come to DeKalb County?
There you go.
Can move mountains of Albania.
There you go.
They're Up in Lexington, I like to get trades.
Prediction, will check in with him a little bit later on.
I'm going to keep from giving Georgia predictions on the air but can't say enough about the Tucker program directed by the outstanding Athletics director and that Gibson.
Just outstanding people first intent of Southwest Academy.
250 nothing, hold.
And that is right stumbling as way getting close to the 25-yard line about to the 24.
We talked about the Tucker Tigers, the list of Who's Who there it is.
Right there, the Honor Roll Train McDaniel lead us through.
I mean, the the lineage of backs.
We all remember Asher Allen playing defensive backs in the NFL and college, but he was a heck of a running back here.
Patrick past, went on to play for New England.
Thomas Brown.
Probably pound-for-pound the strongest guy to ever come through the University of Georgia program Jabari, Davis for you Tennessee.
Fans out there was a heck of a player for the volunteers Tucker is really really had some good ones come out of this school and go on to play at the next level.
Getting close to the first down, yardage for Southwest DeKalb and vinet football forward, and still trying to stay alive right now, that's close to first, down yardage, and on the snob for Southwest DeKalb.
Chauncey Rivers but you know, you talk about Thomas Brown and found profound and he was strength conditioning, assistant strength, and conditioning Coach George before we left to go to Tennessee Chattanooga where he's running backs.
Coach up there.
Right now, I got to believe there's a head coaching job and its future.
I'd love to see that.
And of course, Thomas TV.
We love them played for the Atlanta Falcons.
Got a little lunch been great.
Thanks.
Let's take a look at that.
Swd in the spirit of do.
Whatever you can do, I can do better or pull up this crap.
Political correctness or equal x.
There you go, there you go.
Quincy Carter.
Of course maybe the best quarterback to come through Georgia.
In recent years, cozy Coleman, one of my favorites.
Hassan G. We've already talked about Hassan G. I love that.
Georgia team back in 1992 him and Eric Zaire and Malcolm and Stripling.
We just talked about them being at Georgia, currently and Steve Davenport.
Georgia Tech, Savannah State, man.
They've had some good ones in but Godfrey has coached every single day.
Yeah, Steve course, Steve is coach down at Savannah State, not good.
Time for him down there, but you know, the thing about.
But God from people don't know this, you know, he is the father of her shout out late.
We was a well-known radio television personality if V103 and also an NBA TV and actually did sideline reporting for the socon games Southern Conference on GPB last year.
That's her daddy.
Right there.
You're on top of the yeah.
Uh-huh.
You're learning me all kinds of stuff tonight and son, Colin, and had an opportunity to spend time with Collin this weekend.
I mean, this week, I'd only very beautiful Southwest DeKalb campus at past Falls incomplete, and almost jumping around over.
There was Yuki she'll he's already had one pick looking for another one.
Well, on their previous drive, they ran this little hook pattern a couple times and Shelly was playing off coverage.
One playing off cover cheer.
He's already got one pick to his credit, which set up that last touchdown by Dominick Sanders in here.
Little bit more press coverage, he's not going to fall for that.
Again if they continue to go to that, look for him to jump that route at some point tonight and really have another chance to get another pan.
So Clinton Bridges will again punt.
At his own 33.
They're catching it at his own, 37-yard line upon, a 31 yards downstairs, to John Nelson Kelly.
Okay, guys, our trip to the Region's continues this time, let's go through it.
Everybody thinks is the toughest region in the country region.
16a a couple of tough contest tonight.
But you look at the top of the ladder, Camden County, they get Week off.
So Jeff Haren gets to see all of this stuff.
Go on right now, Lowndes and coffee in the concrete jungle, it's 13-7.
Lowndes second quarter.
So Robbie, Pruitt and coffee, Hangin Tough.
They're also on the board Colquitt County and their two quarterback system.
Only leading Brunswick, 726 and Valdosta in a dire win situation right now.
Leading tip County 21-nothing second quarter.
So this one could end up interesting by the end of the night, guys, John Nelson.
Yeah, what did we expect anything else from that region?
When they realign the classifications at the end of last season.
And we saw what region one was going to be down in south Georgia.
There was no prognosticator in the world that could actually tell you that.
What's going to happen in 3 weeks come playoff time, no one knows we still don't know.
You talk about the impact that but Godfrey has had on on the lives again.
Live in Southwest think.
I've got story Richie Walton, it was a son of Kathy wolf.
NEW Zoo head, women's girls basketball coach at, Southwest DeKalb, that's William, straight ahead.
But to follow up on that, you know, Richie play one year and I went got a scholarship but got him a scholarship at South Carolina state, and that Working here in metro Atlanta, you'll it was a fantastic blog.
That's a design quarterback run in the center, he and Rigby clears out the middle of the field by blocking not one.
But two Southwest DeKalb defensive tackles and right now, I think that is the best weapon that they have at their disposal.
As soon as things start to grind down a little bit on offense, you let Williams call his own number and carry the ball have up and he's doing it in a great way.
First, and Ten at the 46 under two to go here until halftime Williams is going to unload it and that pass is Falls incomplete.
Fleet and had them down at the 10 yard line, and cosima me know.
Zima me, new Gill as their go-to guy on offense.
You see a lot of formations where he's the lone wide receiver kind of reminds you of what Georgia Tech used to do with Stephen Hill and he's wide open here in the balls just a tad under thrown.
So aminu has to break his stride, in his knees, kind of getting the weigh-ins up being an incomplete pass.
Look for them to go back to that at some time tonight because I think that's going to work for him.
Jalen French defending on the play that will bring make it.
I don't make it the second.
Correctly.
It'll be yes second and ten at the 46 Williams right now, five carries 40 yards On The Ground Three of 760 in the air 15.
Nothing still three Tucker and trying to add on the spread.
Look still two timeouts as well for Tucker and sweeping and turning a corner.
Mama, there goes that man.
Again, it running downhill is Sanders, but it gets over the 45-yard line down to about the Southwest DeKalb 42.
First time we got the hostname tonight is the dog linebacker senior, branded dubia, they're you go e to come, came into made a great tackle.
Coach was very high on him.
If you remember him, from when we covered Marist and Southwest DeKalb last year coach Godfrey said that, he is one of the most coachable young men that he's ever had on any of his team's pretty High Praise from coach God for third and seven at the 42 under a minute.
To go Williams, still on its feet under heavy Pursuit.
Loads up as a We're out there and that pass is complete to Johnson Rivers Dives, over a would-be, tackler gets over.
The 25 yard line down to about 220 to a gain of 20 and a first down for Tucker, man, if you're a high school football coach are, if you're looking to move those Lamar, you take 20 Chauncey Rivers.
He has done everything.
Tonight.
You what?
You can't see on your screen right?
There is him noticing that his quarterback is in a lot of trouble.
He breaks off.
His route comes back to the football.
He makes a really nice target for his quarterback watching His arm up in the air, it says I'm wide open because at that point, when you're running for your life William says it's not going to be able to put enough zip on the ball, to get down to the first down marker.
So, it was his talented tight end.
Only a sophomore comes in and bails him out big time.
And that's this and that's a sophomore folks men see on the stop.
39 tooks to go both the bands or down on the field.
And, of course, this is homecoming for Southwest DeKalb heel on this.
We take a look at Georgia Outdoors and of course the original another signature original production along with tonight's broadcast be sure to catch gpb's I'm aiming Emmy award-winning natured series Georgia Outdoors at a new time Sunday at 7:30 See the beauty of the state and all four seasons of its Glory.
Find out about its remarkable natural, habitats, Georgia Outdoors, Sunday, 7:30 right before.
Nature, only on GPB now to you trim it then with only 38 seconds to go, just one time out.
They just burned one.
They're going to have to go to the air.
This is really good territory to use a menial again.
He's been open in the middle of the field.
Look for number 19, and sweeping and turning the corner and still on his feet and being hog-tied that look like it was rivers, and we got a flag on the play, you know, I think they're going to call a horse-collar tackle here, but I don't think they should.
If that is what it is, they should not have thrown the flag.
It was no hand inside the shoulder pad, right?
It was just a nice hard tackle up high but see what they Market.
It's going to be Face mask.
So, that might be legit at sure.
Looked like they were calling horse collar but see if we get a good look after the nice rivers run.
If there was in fact, a face mask down here.
You see the right now.
He's got his arm around the neck.
It looks a lot more violent than it really is.
You got to keep the flag in your pocket right there.
That's really going to cost Tucker.
Some yarder skews cost of was to cap some yardage that it shouldn't.
You saw a picture early of Marky Mark and Company getting ready for halftime marching bands.
Rent check, are You Smarter?
Of course, John's Georgia all that and more coming up with the best have time.
Judge in the country bar, none.
Now, Gil, you have your whole Playbook available to you inside the 5-yard line because you still have a timeout, first and goal at the 5 for Tucker.
That's William.
She's going to roll off the perimeter, loves it in the end zone intended receiver there because he have a man at Falls incomplete.
The intended receiver was Corey Hunter and he was wide open.
It, it was almost like a jump ball.
Yeah, it was Gil and I believe there was a window there where that past could have been completed but you want Williams is rolling out.
And he has to put a lot of air under this football.
If he sees Corey Hunter about a second earlier, and he doesn't have to throw that ball up over the outstretched hands of the defender.
I think you got a touchdown there 5:39 before halftime and Tucker leading, 15 nothing, and Brian Lamar.
And Company are getting greedy, they want some more first and go second and goal I should say at the panther five.
Williams under Center, Full House backfield and the give, and smelling the end zone and almost down its rivers driving down.
He's close to the one and it's still time, but it continues to wind down 10 seconds to go.
Tracy McDaniel, I'm gonna put you in Brian, Lamar shoes right now and you get a look at River smelling at End Zone.
Well, that's my answer.
Question Guild.
Number 25.
This is his territory.
He's there.
Go to halfback.
You can see, I don't think he's lost yardage.
But maybe once all night, I give it to him right here on this.
Big third down play.
And I try to punch it into the end zone, Lafayette.
Kemp among those on the stop.
There's Brian Lamar, we talked about it, came over succeeded.
Franklin Stevens who moved down to Lamar County and no relation coming up at the half marching bands.
Are You Smarter a social media update and a whole lot more?
Of course, John's Georgia.
It'll look it Marky Mark and Alicia cats too.
Down there directing.
And the cast of crew is there.
She's waving at its Alicia cats.
Of course heading up to the Northeast.
Her sisters getting married right next week.
She's heading up and up to New Jersey.
Yo, what might have happened right here on the far sideline, during Tucker's timeout, coach Lamar may have given of offense to plays because it's third down here.
Here, you don't have time to huddle.
You probably don't have time to get your field goal team in.
Should you not make it?
If he's if he did what I think he did, he gave his offensive.
Carla play is to try to get them back to the line.
Cribbage and run.
Another play on fourth down if needed and you alerted us to the timeout situation Sanders, in motion Williams, looking for Sanders, he has them there and that is a touchdown Tucker.
Excellent play call had him on the edge tray touchdown Tucker right before the half and they're going to add on to that 21-nothing.
Now, what for ticks to go until halftime and Tucker will try to make this a 22 to nothing ballgame and And spoil the homecoming here for Southwest DeKalb.
Duffy the kick is up and it is good.
R touchdown by our good friends at tcsg learn more earn more Dre.
Mama there goes dead, man again.
Well Gil, let's take you back to the incomplete pass to Corey Hunter and I said had Williams, not had to throw the ball up and over a Defender, and he was able to notice the route a little sooner.
It would have been a touchdown.
That's the same concept here, but it's to a different player and Dominick Sanders who, by the way, just got his third touchdown.
None of the game.
He's accounted for all three touchdowns so far tonight.
He's got one on the ground Gail.
He's got one through the air and he's got one by way of punt return.
And you see our scoring Drive sponsored by tcsg learn more.
Earn more nine, plays 63 yards, the elapsed time, 2 minutes and 36 seconds and look at Dominick Sanders.
And like Trey said, he has a hat trick, he's done it via the Special Teams, he's done it on the ground.
And he just did it by the air.
1:40, nothing 5 ticks to go until halftime and from all appearances, right now, John Nelson is going to catch up with a very elated.
Ryan Lamar at the conclusion of this first half.
You just wonder what coach Godfrey is going to be saying there was boys in the locker room, try to get them ready to play in the second half.
A little nobler falling on by Southwest DeKalb and they'll take over with two ticks to go on the clock until halftime and you're right.
You want to get in the locker room and regroup because right now that crowd right now, many of which applaud of the Southwest DeKalb Nation came over here today and they're not happy, no, and it's I don't homecoming.
Exactly Gil.
When you add insult to injury in this case, the fact that it's homecoming.
Now, keep in mind, the door is by no means.
Shut on Southwest DeKalb.
They've got some of the best athletes.
In one of the best coaches to ever stand on the sidelines in the state of Georgia.
They've got the tools to get it done, but right now, they're executing but only in fits and starts.
They're not able to put anything consistent together and they've yet to find a guy on the offensive side of the ball with a hot hand.
And you know the thing about but Gottfried has a great staff and mixed of young and old and they're going to look at everything.
And decide how they're going to face it coming in the second half you can 22 nothing getting out of bounces Gilmore and that's going to be the concluding play of a first half which has been all tuckered to this juncture.
They lead 20 22, nothing right now, over the Southwest DeKalb, the Panthers guilt.
I retrain McDaniel and like I said, coming up at half-time marching bands, rent check, are You Smarter?
John's Georgia, social media update and a A lot more Tucker tiger mascot.
Take a look at the two teams running off and right now tray, if your Southwest DeKalb, what do you do?
I got to get my players calm down.
I'd let's quickly.
Go downstairs to John Nelson standing by with Brian Lamar, Tucker.
Gentlemen, thank you, GT.
Let's talk about that first half.
You took advantage of some mistakes.
Yeah, we did.
We got to do a better job blocking and doing some other things up front, but we did take advantage of some mistakes.
Got to keep playing.
So I wasn't as good football team and at the same time your defense is keeping their offense and check keeping the hammer down pretty hard.
Yeah.
For the most part, for the most part getting they're playing hard, we still got a couple of things, we've got to do better, you know, got to play a whole game.
All right, thanks for your time, coach.
All right, thank you.
Over the best seat in the house and Mark, Harmon, Mark, Don Nelson, thanks so much.
We've got a big halftime show coming up for you.

You know, you guys are great on the football field.
You're great in the classroom.
Talk about that.
International Baccalaureate.

All right, for more information on today, in Georgia history, which is a joint production of the Georgia Historical Society.
Ing, be all you have to do is go to the day in Georgia, history dot-org.
So there we have that.
Now we bring in our own John Nelson, he travels, the state each and every week to bring us the greatest knowledge that we can possibly get some knowledge all the way down there.
And we're going to talk to start off by talking about the Tucker tigers ex-coach.
Where is he?
He is in Barnesville, and you talk about how things have gone.
Let's take you back to how things went last season with Tucker.
And it was a dominating performance at the Georgia.
Dome Tucker ends up, getting the championship Franklin.
Stevens gets that job down in Barnesville.
Taking over a Lamar County program which is right now top 10 in double-a so we caught up with him and we asked him what life is like down in Lamar County.
But first, here's your highlights real quick from the championship from last year, at dominating performance as Franklin Stevens continues his transition from Tigers to Trojans.
Remember where you are as opposed to what you were and that's one of the things I have to keep reminding myself.
I'm no longer at Tucker with the finished product.
We're kind of starting all over right now, so we're laying that Foundation to maybe one day get where that we can compete on a high level.
And this is right now the Phrase That Pays down there in Barnesville right now we are Lamar.
So that's how things are right now at Lamar County we want to thank the friends and Central.
Georgia.
EMC for helping us out with that particular topic.
What is topic number two, topic number two, there is one school that is watching the region that we're all to schools for watching right now.
Very, very closely.
If they've got it on DVR right now, it's region to in 5A and we want to catch up with life in Middle.
Georgia EMC, its North Side, north side right now.
Beating Jones will give you the score.
That game in particular minute.
But we caught up with head coach, Kevin Kinsler of Northside, to find out where his eyes are focused as we head toward the playoffs.
I don't think is quite the Rivalry with us that north side is because it hadn't been around as long.
You know, we've been playing north side forever, but it is a game and another game that's important in the community.
And atmosphere is not quite the same, but it's still a big game.
Atmosphere of playoff, type atmosphere at that ball game.
I was Brian.
Wait, we caught up with Brian way and head coach Kevin Kinsler from Northside about the Rivalry.
But we talked to Kinsler and Kinsler said, Mark that he's keeping an eye on this particular region because he knows that with Tucker and Stephenson and MLK, it's going to be a fight to see who ends up seeing him down the line in the playoffs and we've got MLK and Stevenson next week, right here on football Fridays in Georgia, it's going to be a beauty of a football game starting at 7:30 you are you are a couple of books.
You want to, you want to show us real quick, just real quick.
It's book club time for George.
You bury, you know.
That his book must win quickly, there's another book that you want to pay attention to its Marist football from Frank Cox.
Lullabies for Lieutenant's right there and it's another good book to pay attention to and by the way Mark I'm going to say this somewhat selfishly book signing tomorrow, Georgia Tech for me and my new book, so come out and see me from 11 to 2.
It will be a nice adventure and good to see everybody from GPB.
Now, you want to go to score?
I want to know the title of your new book.
Oh, history of college football, in Georgia and caught 22, 22 schools hundred and twenty years and let's go to scores.
All right, let's check out the scoreboard on our door.
GMC scoreboard.
First up we got last or milk, John and this one, right now is an upset.
Brewing Milton early 23-6.
They're leading 23:13 Norcross is going to have a running clock second half solidifying, their tops sot in the region at 41, nothing Parkview shutting out, Shiloh, 14, nothing.
That is now at the brackets 21-nothing.
Grayson leading on top as well.
West Forsyth they were up 7.
Nothing in the second are now 24.
Nothing at the break.
Lowndes, has added another score on the board there.
Now, twenty four, seven at the break Northside, we caught up with Kevin Kinsler that's 21-nothing.
The second quarter Sandy Creek.
Letting Alexander 28 6 in the second Calhoun at the half.
Now, leading Murray County by the score 42.
Nothing.
That'll be running clock in the second half.
Those last three scores were all top ranked teams and they're having no problems tonight.
Pedal down.
You got to do that as we head toward game, 10.
All right, you've got many duties tonight and you're all set.
Check out with the social media for us.
Yes, we do.

They have to register.
There we go.
Here we too.
Is the app, it's way too technical for me.
They're right, too technical for me.
So there it is.
There's your homecoming and there's your scores, and there's your app and that's all the stuff we've got here at the half.
All right, it is homecoming here at Southwest DeKalb.
Let's check out the homecoming queen in her Court, you know, homecoming.
It's just a great American tradition all over this country particularly here in Georgia, where High School football means so much.
And boy there she is.
There's no greater honor than than that.
I think they get to keep the Tiara and the sash, you know, I saw a lady Lady in the Tiara and a sash earlier today.
She might have been last year's winner, coming back to pass that along.
I'm not sure.
But there's the key and the Queen.
And now you see, at once, what, how it's always, how was it, always football players that are homecoming.
King, in addition to being the homecoming, queen?
You know, it's always homecoming.
King is always a football player, how is that always the case?
Well, I know she's got a nice Tiara and he's got some kind of crown.
I'm not sure exactly what that is.
I was a crown.
That's what you get for homecoming, schedule on believing that.
We've just got three more regular season games to go.
Here on football, Fridays.

First Stadium about ready to start the second half, let's go downstairs.
Quickly to check in with John Nelson, standing by with but Godfrey.
Thank you, Gil here with the coach.
Let's talk about that first half.
They took advantage of mistakes on you sure did.
And if we don't do a lot better than that, you know, this is going to be a homecoming to remember in the negative sense.
And at the same time, I know that you're looking for effort.
I think that was the key word that you were telling me about about the team in the second half.
True?
Yeah, well, I mean, I'll lines doing a great job.
We just not, you know, reading the right hole Was we doing a poor job of getting the Personnel on the field for certain formations when you quit kick and then they returned it for a touchdown obviously you know the right Personnel.
Why not?
That's a mean kid.
Did a good job with the quick kick and then it come right back at him.
So I mean you know we're doing the right things but then the wrong the wrong happenings, you know the wrong things are happening.
Thanks for you to be.
Okay well thanks for your time.
The second half.
Thank you, send it back upstairs to go and Trey, take it away.
I John and Coach.
Godfrey we say thank you and I'll tell you what, he's not a happy man right now.
No, and I wouldn't be either because he's right.
His offensive line is doing a good job so far tonight, but his players are not executing well from the skill position perspective.
It's been all Tucker all the time and it's been the Dominick Sanders show.
And there, you see the quicker, he was just talking about and you see Dominick Sanders.
I believe they made that kick on a third down and he gets a great block of spring and On the far sideline, and that's the first touchdown of the football game.
The answer going.
Yeah, they answered that with a big two point conversion to a guy that we just fallen in love with tonight, and that's Chauncey rivers and makes a great catch right here, he's been very active on defense as well, and then it was Dominick Sanders.
Every time they got close to the end zone, he seemed to be the guy to cap things off.
Nice inside move right there to make three Defenders with, that's a running touchdown.
And then right before the half with four seconds to go, he catches a touchdown pass.
So it's 22, nothing Tucker and it's been all Dominick Sanders.
We take a look at the first half stats and as we Ask every Friday night to the aforementioned Trey McDaniel, what jumps out at you?
Well, I think these are two very evenly matched football teams from an athleticism standpoint.
But I think right now Tucker has the execution standpoint one, 169 total yards versus 114.
I think we would expect both teams to have more rushing yards but just 37% was to calf is flow is blows my mind and to other things, look at a penalties right now.
Huge discrepancy right there.
6450 for Southwest DeKalb 1454 Tucker.
Time of possession about even and you look at the crowd at homecoming crowd.
And my Godfrey said, this is going to be a homecoming to remember, not in a gun sense.
Right now this thing continues, the way it's going right now, Tucker leading, 22, nothing, Southwest DeKalb will get on the football at the start of the second half, and we're underway start a second half here at hallford, stadium and Clarkston, Georgia, and that's French taking the football for Southwest.
AB advancing it over the 15, up to the 17 yard line, and the Panthers under that gentlemen, Marcus Gilmore.
When you see his stats right now, passing for of 94 77 yards to pick by Shelley early, which set up Sanders touchdown.
Yeah Gil.
Did, they played five games coming into this football game and only made 36, pass attempts already nine so far tonight, that should tell you, that the Run game isn't working and we just saw stats to back that up just 37.
Yards on the night so far from a stable of backs that we thought would have a good chance here against the Tucker front for, but haven't done nothing and you showed the numbers exactly what's been done on the ground so far.
Gilmore is going to load it up and that pass is picked off and it is intercepted by Shelley.
Who had a beat on it, the intended receiver out there was Bryce and he just had job price and had more willpower to bring it in.
He's been an outstanding player here tonight.
She'll if you, let's reiterate that Yaki.
Shelly number one is just a sophomore going up against a very talented wide.
Receiver may be the most talented wide receiver for either one of these two teams tonight.
Number two, he already has an interception tonight.
He took it back, 42 yards and it led to the Dominick Sanders rushing.
Touchdown that we just saw in our highlights montage.
This kid would be starting on most teams.
He starting tonight, the only because the junior Devon to Williams is out, that should say something about how good Devonte Williams is that.
He's got Shelly backing him up.
But what a great arsenal to have at your disposal from the quarterback position for Coach Lamar to be able to bring the sophomore in.
He made a great impact in this game so far that's Williams into swd territory over the 45 down to about the 42.
We got flags and the officials get in a little chip Enos coats on the tackle.
For Southwest DeKalb.
Next week, Southwest DeKalb will take on Arabia Mountain at panthersville stadium.
And the Tucker Tigers will take on Miller Grove over at Adam Stadium right?
Off at Druid Hills Hill.
After all this up inside, do you on Williams ends up losing his hat here?
And that's what someone were some of the chip penis comes from.
But again, I've been kind of impressed with the interior of the defensive line for Southwest DeKalb.
I talked about it at the top.
That the defensive tackles and the inside linebackers had to play well tonight in Gil, I believe they have, I just think that they've not really responded well to the big play opportunities that Tucker has had so far tonight, but they throw the flag there and that one's on Tucker and that's going to bring back.
What was a pretty pretty solid run by jajuan Williams?
Well, as the coach got for you talked about with our John Nelson right before the start of the second half that Pooch named rugby stopped one.
Like you said on third down and houst by It's been one that they're really remember right now, first and long.
All for the Wildcat that Sanders for number five, that's nice.
He's still in the open for you.
Any Crossing Field.
He's in 20 down to about the panther 15 yard line, and Dominick Sanders folks is putting on a clinic a game of 46 First and Ten.
Yeah.
Robert Bryce at the 15.
Number 26 has to come up and save a touchdown.
This is the guy that already has.
Three of them killed.
Yes, he's got one on a punt.
Return a Russian.
The 5-yard line attached inside.
The 5 yard as I he almost gets it done from the Wildcat right here, this Dominick Sanders, right?
The most versatile player we've seen all season since Darren Jones, huh?
Well, versatility wise, that's Aaron Jones.
Beat maybe not the yardage Department, certainly in the versatility to market the sweep around and looking for the End Zone, that's rumored that he's inside the tent down to about the eighth.
He'll one thing the coach Godfrey says, we spoke to him this week was he wanted to prevent Tucker from being able to Get momentum or have the energy on their side, he has not been able to do that right now, all the momentum on the side of the tiger Dunston Mencia on this stuff first and goal at the nine Tucker leading 22, nothing pitching a shutout, and looking for some more 10, 20 and counting in the third period Williams out of the shotgun.
He's gonna keep it Sprints and it's pushed out of bounds down to about the seven again of one.
Possibly French on the stop.
You'll Solomon Jack.
In the left guard, pull did a great job there of string and everything out.
But once again, the Southwest DeKalb front for, does a great job of keeping the momentum, going to the sidelines and not letting the running backs, get North and South for Tucker.
They've really tightened up when they've gotten inside the 5-yard line.
Big plays right now.
We're killing Southwest and cab.
They have got to keep them out of the end zone right here.
They want a chance to win this football game.
Everything going at the seventh straight ahead is Williams looking for first down yardage and continue to strive.
Not underneath the left tackle, and pushed his way and coming off of that pile.
Well, the stop was a real Crawford.
Yeah, Williams only only had to get to the 5 yard line to get a first down right there and they're going to give him forward progress and the first down five of ten, 82 yards and a touchdown seven carries 42 yards, seven carries 42 yards.
Gil is not gaudy with the fact that you got a quarterback that, like I said earlier, when the offense starts to grind down to a halt, you've got a quarter.
That can change the momentum in that department, by calling his own number and so far tonight, it's worked.
Well, first, and goal at the 5 Tucker.
See Sanders left.
Duck inside and Williams, and turning the corner and sweeping, and trying to find some Running Room, but gets pushed back.
A loss of about three, four, possibly more was Rivers.
Let's see, and let's stop.
Let's listen in on the parabolic, Mike.
He didn't make the play but dog linebacker number 22, Brandon do by a strong that play out, got up field, prevented them from getting the edge and that's what allowed his teammates to come and clean up that mess.
That was very well.
Played by the senior dog linebacker that a look on their own is right there.
There you go.
Trey second and goal at the 8th.
A loss of about 3 out of the shotgun is Williams on the edge with blockers out in front spins and terms still moving down and gets down to about the 1 inch line.
Lindsay was down there on the stop, also, then they rode well was Chase Maggie.
Again Southwest DeKalb doing a good job of stringing it along, but right at the last second Williams is able to get North and South sets up a third down and goal from about two to two and a half yard line and you see some Personnel changes here.
And the one thing that you can't be right now or at least Tucker isn't is predictable.
They've scored in such a variety of ways tonight.
There's no telling when they're going to run here on third down but I would look if I'm Southwest DeKalb and find out what number five's at the goal line package in for Third and goal at the 1 yard line.
William Playfair jump ball in the past.
The touchdown is Two Rivers scores.
Don't see Rivers touchdown Tucker boy, I love that play guilt and I'm so very impressed with Chauncey Rivers.
His teammate got Keats Shelley makes the interception that starts this drive, he's a sophomore and then the drive capped off by Chauncey Rivers scoring a touchdown.
He's already got a two-point conversion tonight.
He's also a sophomore touchdown replay brought to you by Rico.
Friends at tcsg learn more earn more.
The extra point opportunity.
You can sup.
And it is perfect.
There's things starting to get out of hand Williams on the edge Finds Its big touchdown and it's big tight end Williams at Tucker on their way of blowing this thing wide open.

Next, we head to Savannah, where we'll get caught up in an entertaining battle at Sea and finally, we get to rest in the Blue Ridge Mountains with the 360 degree views of Lucille's, Mountaintop in all that and more on the next Georgia Traveler Back here, 29 the nothing Tucker leading, Southwest DeKalb, and a third quarter 724 to go Jon Nelson.
It's all yours.
Okay, we pulled a number out of a hat and as I deal with the sons of thunder over here, we're going to go to region 868 and let you know what's going on out in Gwinnett, County Park View at the top of the ladder.
And they are having their hands full right now with Shiloh, but they do have a 21-nothing late.
It was, it was closed.
Early parties, putting the pedal down earlier South Gwinnett at Grace and right now Grayson's leading 7-nothing that game is heading to the third quarter as well.
Brookwood in Central Gwinnett that ones tied at 14-14 at the half.
So there's some nervous folks in Snellville, both that Knights castle and at Brookwood Community, Stadium archers trying to make a run to head up North.
So once again, we're looking at another five or six teams heading for four slots.
When it comes to region, 86 a back upstairs part to you in South Gwinnett, look like they're on a collision course and he really got to like what?
Everybody Cecil flows.
So when I parked, are you insane?
With winnette.
It's a good little something.
Something hanging in there with Grace, and right now, make accounting company having their hands full.
Yeah, going to be very interesting to see how all that pans out.
Most people come down to the final week of the Season as you just alluded to French will take the football at his own 10 fumbles, it still with it and he has brought down close to the 20 yard line and our scoring Drive brought to you by our good friends at tcsg, learn more earn, more seven, plays 51 yards and four minutes and 19 seconds.
Have elapsed time.
Take a look at Chauncey Rivers numbers.
Three receptions 34 yards, a touchdown, he catches and the guy for rushing, he's been eight carries for 16 yards of Gods.
Unbelievable and I'm going to say right now you know he's a sophomore but come his senior year, he will be the most recruited player in the state of Georgia.
Barring injury.
That kid is just out of sight.
Oh my God because what you couldn't fit in our graphic window there with the fact that he's been one of the best players on defense for Tiger tonight as well lining up the defensive end and you'll see him on the near side there, the defensive end on the left.
That's a fumble.
That's a fumble and they put it on a carpet and it looks like it's going to be recovered by Tucker.
And the person of Justin Hughes.
Boy, that's things.
Can't get any worse.
You said it guilt.
This is the absolute last thing that you can have happened to you right now.
If your Southwest DeKalb Davenport, putting the ball on the ground.
And they're very first snap on offense in the second half, having just undergone an earful from poach on the locker room, they come out and they shoot themselves in the foot and I'm sorry.
Gil, actually wasn't their first offensive possession, because if you remember, their very first offensive possession, they threw a long pass to Bryce, that was picked off by Shelley.
So, You plays here in the second half.
Two, turnovers for Southwest DeKalb, get a feel for my good buddy.
He's getting And you see right now two turnovers here in the third quarter, the pick by Shelley and then the fumble by Davenport putting on a carpet and the recovery by Justin use great field position for Tucker First and Ten at the swd.
25 points here.
Gil will, and that is Sanders out of the Wildcat looking long for Williams a jump ball and that is a touchdown or black flag on the play, flag on the play.
All-Star false, start on the offense but again, Typical.
I mean, I know this is going to sound insensitive.
The best thing that's happened to Southwest DeKalb since they got off, the bus was Kyle.
Bailey won homecoming?
King.
Yeah.
Nothing else has gone their way.
It's been a tough night.
Three turnovers, they can't get anything going on offense.
Luckily for them Tucker just committed a penalty because that was an easy pitch and catch for a touchdown right there.
Wide open receiver down in the end zone.
They had Sanders lined up in the Wildcat, and they had to Williamson.
And that's, that's homecoming.
Queen and homecoming.
King and Kyle Bailey is, Trey said the homecoming King and it's about the only thing.
It's good for the Southwest DeKalb multimedia tonight.
Check us out next Friday with football.
Friday's the all access pass show live at 7:30.
We're at hallford.
Stadium right here.
In fact, tray, and I've pitched a tent.
They want to come out and see if MLK takes on Stephenson.
We bring you a cheerleader challenge.
Show you what's cooking.
David's house key catches up on the high school spirit, Jen, gives us the ultimate lunch bag makeover and all that, plus the dancing divas and much more tuned in for a wonderful and exciting.
Pregame show GPB Sports football, Friday's all exits, been smiling by Bye.
And they'll Chambers and Stephenson game, live on 7:30 on GPB 4:30 Pacific.
Want to say, congratulations to Jen Hobby in her husband, Grant, they're expecting and John down here are the good news about our gen hobby, right?
You got some bad news right now in terms of upset for some, there's some bad news depending on who you're a fan of the game.
Right now in gpb.org as back and forth, Milton had Elite, now Lassiter's upfront, thirty four, Thirty fourth quarter, but the big news, right, Now it's coming out of Cobb County with wheeler and Walton.
Oh, it's you.
What's going on in that region earlier on the day right now wheeler has extended their lead 9:37.
So walking, that's the biggest question mark.
That's happened.
Ever since the Corky Kell classic, they had a lot of national exclaims.
I had all of the recruits Byron, Jones, Parker, McLeod, Brandon could 10 and now it's turned into a large question mark.
As we hit the fourth quarter, with that one John, I'm gonna tell you something else say this is A I believe that lost to North Cobb to whole lot out of Rocky Hidalgo and Company, they have not been the same well Gil's that lost a know.
They have a lot of talent as John just mentioned.
But in the early going they were impressing us with it but they were giving the ball to Tyrant Jones, 35 45 times a game.
So you become very predictable in that setting and you also we're down one of the best backs in the country as well.
So Walt was going to have to find their passing game before.
It's all said and done.
I think they're going to make the playoffs.
I don't think they're in Jeopardy of missing out unless they just take The rest of the season, but they're going to have to get a guy that we were talking about last week, Stone Romberg in the mix.
We saw his dad coach in Westminster last night.
That's right.
Devon towns on the carry but you're absolutely right.
I mean, you look at here's a team, they've got to the state championship last year, got blown out by grace and put, you know, with banged up and bruised.
I mean, they had lost their tough days, lost their top player, and Blaylock, he was pleased, battling some injuries, but, you know, they just don't seem to be the same type of team and, you know, Rocky had warned me He said Gill even that win over McEachern.
He saw some things, they had a week off, to get some stuff corrected but they come back and they get blown out by know, it's carbonate still got to play Milton well in North Cobb.
We don't take nothing away from them nor kavas are hectic and that's a heck of a region.
I mean we're talking about all these regions.
That is one of the best in the state especially now that Lassiter is a perennial Contender and they used to be last used to be one of those teams that were kind of a blip on the radar and then all the sudden coach Lindsay comes out of nowhere.
Hutson, Mason comes out of nowhere.
We're talking about See Rivers tonight and being a tight end.
The best Titan I've ever seen in this state has been feeling Lonesome kirkin, right?
There's playing at Auburn.
Now, go Niko.
So it's kind of hard to stay, what's good, you know, there's a lot of momentum and a lot of adult energy when it comes to climbing the mountain.
Staying on the mountains of totally different story.
I'll tell your team to keep an eye on her right now on you, and I saw him against North Gwinnett and that's nor cross-cultural even at great running back, come are has been outstanding and they are something to be reckoned with.
Right now.
And on their way to a big win, they're going to attempt a 41-yard field goal.
This is Stephen Duffy and it is no good.
Take a look at Tucker schedule.
We talked about earlier that they take on Miller Grove next week at Adams stadium and look at what they have in front of them.
Through MLK is going to be.
There's going to be a lot on the line for that game because you've got these three teams and they're all jumbled up Stephenson MLK.
We those two teams play here on GPB next week.
Of course Stevenson stop the 20 game, win streak that Tucker has They started game 1 of last year, they stopped that last week.
So Tucker, excuse me, Tucker's lost Stephenson has beat them but they have not played MLK yet.
I'm look forward to seeing right our truck, there's french.
Well after the pass out in Space by Gilmore.
Look forward to seeing coach Gard shells.
Punch every year Gil, nobody puts more division.
One Talent into college football around the country than that, man.
He just got a knack for it and you and I are you know, like a I said, we're pitching a tent.
I'll leave the tent.
Go to Stone Mountain.
Tell you what, at the Southwest DeKalb and hangs around with us.
I'd be willing to stay.
You can stay anyway.
I won't make you do more as is complete of at the 30-yard line, and that looked like it with rice, Robert Bryce and Robert Bryce drawing interest from the University of Minnesota, you see, kill Morgan.
You're rolling out to his right.
He's been very much standing still in the pocket tonight, when delivering the football, but he's also had To contend with getting the ball up and over some of the Defenders for Tucker, they challenged that by Rolling them out that time one of his best friends, the night, best band in the land and they are having a good time here on homecoming the football team, getting whacked 29, nothing Tucker does not matter.
What the scoreboard says Gill or how many of these Southwest DeKalb fan as leave they are not going to lose one ounce of energy and they'll be playing the long after the scoreboard even gets turned off tonight second and ten at the 30 Gilmore running for its life on the edge and Rose.
And the pass is complete.
That's Bryce.
The way to the 45 yard line.
What A Catch that's close to a first down.
Watch price, go down and get this off the off the carpet.
Great hands here.
What a fantastic?
Catch Shelly defending on the play but they're going to bring it back Tre.
They said he trapped So they're coming back.
Yes.
Yeah.
And you saw out there hit the ground.
Oh excellent.
Excellent.
Call by is officially so they do what they do over s intent and the 3029 nothing Tucker over Southwest DeKalb, 345 of the third quarter kill Ty range, Ray McDaniel and John Nelson.
And our great crew at GPB Gilmore's passing and throwing and the pass intended for French at the 45 Falls incomplete.
You own The Lending on the play was Kirk Tucker on the last.
two plays.
The guy that's provided.
The pressure for Tucker has been the defensive end number.
55, Solomon Jackson.
We talked about him a little bit in the first quarter.
He's the one that's making Marquis Gilmore, so nervous in the pocket.
And although Gilmore has been able to show off his arm tonight, it doesn't have a whole lot of pass completions to show for it.
You know, before we get out of here today, before you, and I go back to 10, and call it a nice.
I got to get your picks for college football, streaming down, your face.
I'm starting to wonder not first, I thought you were joking.
Now, I'm wondering if I'm staying here.
You know, you're so good at it.
With the pigs.
I'm going to add a few more for you.
That is not true.
I stink.
I've been off the mark all year, especially with Georgia Tech.
Yeah, what an unpredictable team they are.
I have no idea what to expect.
But from the 31 yard punt.
So Tucker will take over First and Ten John.
We go down to you.
And after we come from you, we're going to go to tray and get his picks, whatever Jon Nelson actually.
Oh, yeah.
You write them down right now.
I got a number between one and eight and six.
Eight, guys, do you think I'd pull one?
No, we already did one.
How about three?
Yeah, you're getting warmer.
Let's go to region 6.
Here's how things are going on.
We spent some time there earlier this year, you're getting warmer Wester size and Johns, Creek Lambert, and Chattahoochee right now west, A scythe having no problems at all with North Forsyth.
Now at the bottom of the ladder.
Now, Lambert and Johns Creek were going at it early on Johns Creek, was leading, 20 was up 21-7, Lambert's come back at games now tied at 21 and you see how things are going there.
So once again, we're getting into these positions where you're looking at five teams and four spots.
And I think next one, okay, give me another number between 1 and 8 that I haven't used already seven.
We'll go there next.
So next time we come back down, we'll go see 76 a second.
I'm right.
Yeah, you know, you doing you got one pic, right?
He's at the Head of the Class folks trained McDaniel when he has it take much.
Does it?
You're doing so good?
That, I'm gonna give you, I'm going to answer your picks for it tomorrow.
Georgia Kentucky, Georgia State, Villanova and Georgia Tech in Boston College.
Well, you told me during the halftime break the GS, you won their first game last week against Rhode Island.
I say the momentum continues and Coach Curry gets another Victory.
Good for God.
Forgot to say is a Georgia fan.
I would have to pick them against Kentucky.
Okay, not looking ahead next week for the big one down in Jackson.
Well, like I said, there's it's more of a more of an optimism than it is maybe once exactly going to happen.
I think George has the better team by far but the way they executed against South Carolina is very disconcerting for the Georgia, Georgia Nation out there and of course Tech with the new defensive coordinator.
I good buddy, friend of a program was storm and Company will call that football game tomorrow.
Your thoughts about that against BC at Grant field?
You know, I I got to think that Tech has the advantage because of Where it's at.
If this game was taking place up at Boston College, I think Boston College might have the advantage, I think Georgia Tech has more Talent than most of the teams they played this year, but it just hasn't come to fruition especially against Middle Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
The two teams that I can think of off the top of my head where they didn't really execute.
And of course, our Jim Nelson.
Have a book signings, what I propose a chance to check a map college football here in the great state of Georgia, be there for two hours and it's a great read, folks.
Great, Christmas gift to, you know, one thing to take note of, there's a minute.
56 to go and Counting here in the third quarter.
If Tucker's able to pick up any points before the quarter flips, over will have a running clock in the corner, because it'll be a 30-point, right score, differential, if they somehow are able to get the score, differential up to 30 points within the fourth quarter, you will not have a running clock.
So we'll see what happens here.
It's unlikely, they'll get that point since they're giving the ball over here via the Southwestern cab calling for a fair catch is Jalen French just to remind her you know you can follow us on foot on Facebook.
Did you know that GPB Sports has a Facebook page?
Check us out and like us and be a part of the GPB Sports family.

Already do.
So, you see follow us at Facebook at GPB /, GPB Sports, you know, somebody who really does that and monitors that all the time, as our good buddy, done shura.
John is a social media Guru.
So I've heard we've been at 27.
He also wind down the third coil, also picks the restaurants that we go as a team afterwards and I gotta say does a pretty good job with that.
I do take issue With a couple of the places that we've been.
But for the most part, it does a pretty good job of giving props for that.
Outstanding crew, gpp and all season long headed up by the commander Steve Graham.
Second and nine at the 25, the spread look by Southwest DeKalb and you see the banners all throughout here?
They're going to keep them up all week.
We're going to be back here next week that dump off that looks like that.
Staffing for you with open space, it gets close to Midfield and brought down about at the 49, a gain of about 22, and saving, and saving it tackle with Steven Reynolds the most well-executed offensive play.
They've had all night long, Bill screen passes, They are not easy to execute from an offensive line perspective.
They did a fantastic job here of letting Tucker come through with the upfield rush and go underneath with screen pass.
That's play of the night for the Panthers, good to see Davenport, get back after laying that football out on a carpet running for his life on the edge of the 4045, close to Midfield.
And there's going to be a flag on a plane.
That's going to be a late hit.
They're going to tack on 15 more.
You know I hate to be critical especially of officials in the high school game.
I'd like that.
To see the replay on this one, they call the bounce ask and you shall receive from the commander here.
I mean there was some contact Gil, but it certainly didn't look like had any ill-will behind it, but definitely doesn't look like it should draw a 15-yard penalty, but we're going to get it nonetheless joining infractions, Justin Hughes Familiar on first down number 32, and 19 ticks to go before we call the end of a third quarter.
The good news for Southwest DeKalb do, is they are moving the football for the first time in a long.
While the crowd over here, on the Southwest cap side is actually standing up a little and take a notice for the first time.
They haven't had a lot to cheer about so far tonight.
The 15-yard penalty.
Puts it at the Tucker 37.
And a timeout has been called as Gilmore walks over to the sidelines and he'll talk to his head coach Bob Godfrey.
Join GPB Sports next week as they compete in the third annual chili, cook-off at Thompson Memorial Park from 1:00 to 3:00 there will be competing against the best professional and amateur Cooks in the area come out before the weather gets chilly and vote for our chili.

He want some chili?
I can't help it with that, because I'm not a cook.
We'll leave that to Parker Wallace.
She's going to cook up the chili for us and make sure that we are well fed.
Because, of course, that is the priority that we are well fed.
All right, you guys chose know?
47.
We'll see how things are in region 7 6 a.m. tonight.
Frankly it's separation time when it comes to the folks at the top of the ladder and the bottom of the ladder Norcross in North Gwinnett are 1 & 2 Norcross beat Mountain.
Be 48 6, North Gwinnett beat have Central 44.
26 elsewhere in the ladder, Collins Hill, over Meadowcreek 49:10 Mill Creek, putting up 56 on dilute 5621 that is also a fourth quarter score.
So in some regions, where we've seen teams getting closer together and trying to jam, I've had six teams in the four spots, in region 7 guys, it looks like we got separation.
When it comes to least one region out of the 58 Ford, it wasn't 40 regions and five classes.
Plus the power rankings in region 1.
So 1 out of 42 and a half, percent precincts reporting.
We have separation back, man.
He's getting in election mood.
He's getting an election moved.
Just a reminder, to the debate, the final debate final presidential debate will be on GPB on Monday, our coverage starts at 9:00 Gilmore.
See the incomplete pass Gilmore intended for Ely hard.
Hard passed it to make their running to your right as a right-handed quarterback and throwing back across the field.
Ely dropped, what could have been a touchdown second and 10 at the 37 Gilmore?
There was the underneath route and they're still fumbling and tapping it up in the air and down there and that falls incomplete right?
Was down there with it and he lost it.
And that's going to be about the end.
One more play.
One took to go here in the third quarter.
Take a look at the replay.
This was a hot potato tray.
It was Malik Wright.
Had it for a second then had it again and then might have had it again.
But eventually the Tigers got in there along with a couple of his teammates and knock this one down on the carpet for an incomplete pass.
So the drive which was helped out by a 15-yard hit out of bounds as now started to stall out third and long just inside the 40 out of the shotgun and that's Gilmore looking I'm jumping around and almost picked it off down there was it looked like on the play was Dominick Sanders and Mama, there goes that Batman again, we're at the end of the third quarter, everybody's putting up four fingers and words in you to do the same 29, nothing Tucker, we'll be right back after this.
You we know you, we know, you have to rise early and work late with, not enough sleep in, between how you sometimes need to get over to that exit, like right now and how things aren't just about you anymore.

A Nova National Geographic special Wednesday at 9:00 on GPB.
Start of the fourth here in Clarkston Holford Stadium 29, nothing Tucker you'd never know.
It Southwest, the cab fans still having fun on homecoming.
2012 Yuletide rate, Ray McDaniel and our outstanding producer Steve Commander Grand.
Looks like that.
The Panthers are gonna go for it but this friend look yeah.
Why not build your down?
Twenty nine to nothing.
First play of the fourth quarter, fourth down and 10 the ball is in Tucker territory.
At this point gets the matter.
What happens with the next 12 minutes, you have absolutely nothing to lose.
Look at those total yards of the third quarter to, right?
That's quite a discrepancy Gil.
Not what I expected from this Panthers team, especially in the running game on the edges, Gilmore lines up, and that ball is picked off.
Corey Hunter for the Tucker Tigers.
Gets it and takes it right close to the 40 yard line.
Take a look at the replay.
Third pick of the night for the Tucker.
Tigers Corey Hunters.
One of those guys that coach Lamar said, was one of his favorites, plays all over the field, John Nelson, hello again, and again and again and again and again and again, okay, gave you a trivia question at the half during John's Georgia to give the opportunity to win one of my books and now you'll have A bit of the answer.
But let's find out where, but Godfrey is on this, very prestigious list of most career wins in Georgia.
You see, Larry, Campbell still active 464 wins.
He's third nationally when it comes to that and with an 851 winning percentage, Robert Davis is second Dan pits Dwight, hochstetler Luther Welsh.
You look at this list.
Built Chapel from Dalton Wayman Creole, team Affair, who still active and we could still active.
Then you've got guys like, Nick Hider and tied for 16th look, but Craving is our buck this evening, but Godfrey 30th year, you talk about what he's been able to do here.
In DeKalb county, is a shining example of perseverance.
And what you can do for young, man and in wins and losses on the field and off the field as well guys.
And he changes lives for the better, you know?
And I spent some time with them this week and he said, he said 15.
It's a win in there somewhere.
It's not been counted.
Yeah, he's what he said.
He's not at 16.
He says I'll just protesting that graphic but he's still getting it done.
He isn't Will to win, 270 High School football games in the state of Georgia.
And, of course, we're we might not be the most objective people because we get to see Georgia football week in and week out.
But a couple weeks ago we saw coach Mark, Crews for Brooke would get its 100th where an earlier in the season.
We saw the Milestone of Coach Chadwick for Marist, who's active on that list, got his 300th, win.
Talk about an if you even average.
I mean, this is easy math.
Even I can figure this out, you intend ball games a year.
That's 27 years of coaching just to get the 170 wins.
That is quite an accomplishment and you said what makes me love.
But Godfrey, the most is he enriches these young men's lives when me and Steve Graham, we're talking to him down on the sideline.
Earlier he said, something that was kind of subtle, but came across to us is very profound.
He said, you count wins and losses, 10 or 15 years later.
And what he means by that is the impact that him and his coaching staff has on these student athletes, and how it relates to them going into the real world.
Down the line and then becoming productive citizens and then coming back and giving back to the community where they started.
They've all got quite a soft spot in their heart for Coach Godfrey.
He's a heck of a man very inspiring guy to talk to and I think honestly Gil that's what's preventing him from walking away from the game is just his love for these young men.
He's a gift, right?
He's a gift that's times on the edge, that's Tucker continues to wind down, the clock break fisherman.
People don't know.
This also was a great English teacher.
And loves the fish though.
Loves to fish, I can tell you first and maybe he'll come pick us up while we're camping out this weekend.
They may bring some, he may go out and fish, bring some flowers, put them on the grill.
You and I came down here all over the camping out here till next week.
I didn't pack my overnight bag.
The I'm gonna look so you gotta go home.
I'm gonna let me get it.
Okay, I promise, I'll be right back, just wait for me a minute, I'll be back at long trip, up the Loganville, then come back down here, right?
That's right.
So I'll be waiting for you.
I'll keep the line off, keep it on Third and 11 and Sanders, and he's into swd territory, brought down, and about the 47.
A Chad, you've been hanging out with his too, huh?
His room and attend.
I don't know.
I want to hang out with you.
Like it guys, I don't know if I like that.
I'll take you back to 1955 and as it turned out, it was the third book that but Godfrey wrote, it was about his little league team.
We all know about Dixie league, youth league in the opportunity, to try and get to Williamsport and play in the Little League World Series.
But because the squad he was on was a squad of all black youth, they weren't allowed to participate in the tournament.
Don't and so as a result, they made their way up to Williamsport on their own and just wanted the chance to play, whether it was in their street clothes or uniforms, didn't matter what it was, they wanted the opportunity to play the actually sat in the stands in Williamsport and tried to just get that one shot to see how well they would play.
And everyone up there at the tournament took such a liking to them that they had them into their homes and gave them meals and it was actually word in this.
A direct quote from the head of little league little further down the road.
That but Godfrey's Little League team, the team that no one would play against was the most influential Little League team in the history of the sport.
Because what it did is it opened up those barriers and it made sure that all youth could play Little League Baseball.
So but Godfrey was influential in that as well, not just stuff that he's done as a coach great storage on and you hear more and more stories like that and the man really cares about Young people, I can tell you about 7 years ago.
Came up here, came into Southwest DeKalb and one of my former colleagues at that time at CBS Atlanta Lori Wilson and I we did a SAT ACT prep and we helped a lot of the kids on that football team.
Prepare for the SAT and buck was there.
We and I told Buck, I said, only thing I ask is they come here at 9:00 because it was a three-hour session that they had with Lori and myself and we got it we got one of his young man, I Hope Scholarship.
I was at the See if Georgia covering the Bulldogs and I was crossing the Trestle young man.
Came up to me said, Do You Remember Me mr. Tyree, you were, you're in a class and because of what you were able to help us do, we were able to get home scholarship that touchdown by, right?
It's going to be the gain it by a flag, and it was 33 yards.
But he'll get called back with a Nifty run by, right?
That's the rebel flag on the play.
Yes, the first time Malik Wright has gotten into space tonight, it is best run the flag comes right in the middle where all the big bodies He's are probably going to get ahold here or shot block or something of that nature.
But you know it was always great to come up here and see see buck and spend some time.
Take a look at him right there and of course it's Williams.
The principal is doing an outstanding job.
She is replay down She is doing great things.
Here you saw it talk to Mark, Harmon and have time.
Let's take a look at the replay.
And what do you see Tremec that?
Well, I see a very well executed play here.
Obviously, you got the Wildcat there with Robert Bryson at quarterback and then you see the hold its kind of down there on the bottom left of your screen and they threw it immediately.
There was no delay whatsoever.
You knew that play was coming back for ride, even got to the 20-yard line so it comes back so it'll be a do-over second and seven at the 48.
Look at the great buck Godfrey.
Like I said, the crowd father, one of Atlanta's top personalities, radio, and television, and rochon Ali, the football, and going straight ahead and brought down at look like it was just in Hughes.
Justin Hughes, just showed another gear that I didn't think he had number 32.
The junior linebacker for Tucker tackle.
Correct 62.
Pounds.
He's one of those stats covers coach said, about Hughes when we talked to him this week, that he's improved.
He said 300% since the summer, so he's the most improved player, they've gotten the field right now, and he just showed a different class of speed than I thought.
He had Jerrod Owens.
On the play five foot eight, 170 pound senior.
It'll make it third and eight at the 45:29.
Nothing Gilmore.
Loading up and has a receiver there, that's price.
They're going to be short of the first dance, right?
They are was third down and 18 and look like they picked up ten or eleven yards on the play.
Nice, catch Again by Bryce, he's been a very bright spot here for the Southwest DeKalb offense, getting trap that one, I was a great catch went down and got that one, you know, I gotta imagine that other schools besides just the University of Minnesota are going to be sending that young man, some letters.
I've been impressed with him so far tonight gain of 11 brings up a fourth and seven at the 33.
Gilmore.
Alley-oops it up top and the pass is.
Pass interference on the play.
It look like down there.
The intended receiver was Healy.
It was and I believe it was.
Corey hunter that got clock for the interference.
I'll have to see, of course, we're way up here in this Press Box not that you want to hear our sob story.
But we're really far away from the hatching is kind of hard to see some of these numbers but it wasn't legit pass interference.
Call Sobe, 15 yards and because of the down and distance before fourth down and the penalty is going to give them first down yardage owner defense, 15 yards from We just bought it, you see the whole time right there?
Number 11, that was Corey.
That's Cory Hunter.
You see our vantage point where we are we are high at top offered Stadium.
We mentioned that earlier in this broadcast up top matter fact that's where we are and Trey said it like it is you tell it like it we're far away from the action.
I got good eyesight but it looks like I'm watching ants.
See Gilmore's numbers eight and twenty 120 yards but that three interceptions.
Three ints have been the story.
One of the many stories here tonight.
Truckers out of right out in front.
29 Mill.
Yeah, like his arm strength but he's been harassed a lot tonight by the Tucker defense.
Let's take a break with.
550 to go in the fourth but still homecoming, party going on, but Southwest DeKalb on the short end we'll be right back.
You have to seize any advantage, you can get to build a career even while you're still in high school, that's why the technical college system of Georgia offers dual enrollment.

Back here.
552.
Go 29.
Nothing.
Tucker out in front of Southwest DeKalb, guilt, I read re McDaniel And Jon Nelson and our statistician here tonight.
Kevin Hart.
You take a look at the Tucker tiger mascot.
Let's go downstairs to a busy man here tonight Jon Nelson, Ellie.
Thank you GT.
Let's find out how things are going in Region 5 quad-a and we region, we got that.
The reason the region I could get my tongue to work.
The reason that particular regions Focus, we're going to be checking out Sandy Creek and Carolton in a couple of weeks.
Here's how the ladder, looks Sandy Creek and Carolton on top Sandy Creek.
No problems, too.
At Alexander 42, 26 Carrollton, had really problems with sha, but right now, they're distancing themselves from Chakra to make problem setting up that one versus two.
Now, you look at Le Grange and show it three and four LaGrange.
No problems with Fayette County.
There are 28 26 in that one.
And Shaw, we saw having issues as well and Fayette County.
So once again here's another region 5 teams and four spots and we get to see pretty much how one and two are going to square off in a couple of weeks right here on GPB Roman coats.
Coughed it up and you're going to see a great End Zone.
Look, it was struggle with the snap 44, put it on the carpet.
He didn't even get his feet up off the ground and couple guys had a shot at it.
But the cornerback number 6 Jr, Steven Reynolds brought in and cleaned up the mess, Owens had an opportunity and let it stay there.
And y'all bleep sucker.
The fifth turnover tonight, turnovers with kids to Camp Panthers among other things.
They've got a really rough night tonight first in 10 for Tucker.
Stood up and push back.
Number 40 and that is Elijah Sullivan and Sanders on a night.
You see the valve heads?
That's not an uncommon King here tonight.
It's been a tough night for Kyle, Bailey was the homecoming crowned homecoming King that I'd Sanders.
8 touches, 94 yards one touchdown to 42 and then the 42-yard punt return.
Like you said what did you call them player that we've seen so far this year?
Purpose to the max 502, still ago here at Sanders and still with space, and moving and still on his feet, folks.
Are you kidding me over Midfield down to the swd 47-yard line?
He heard you Gil Dominick Sanders are just singing his Praises that need a 70-foot of hard-fought.
Real estate highlight reel for you.
Watch the Montage here, everything the Dominick Sanders has done tonight.
This is the punt return On a quick kick that was done on third down to try to catch.
Tucker off-guard.
Nothing off guard here for Dominick Sanders, very first touchdown of the game just after that we got a two-point conversion, here's how he gets it done on the ground tougher on watch this cut right here, three, blue jerseys with and he's in the end zone via the ground game, and here's the touchdown catch.
He makes just before half-time for seconds to go on the clock and then the last run that he had.
Didn't get him in the end zone, but it might have been his best with a night.
Nine carries 114 yards, that's just on the ground, but you said a playmaker number five, makes it makes it happen punt return.
Then the touchdown pass and he can talk.
Some noise is let me share something.
That is that is coach said about him.
It's coach said this week that he is still quote learning to become a running back.
Does this look like a guy that still learning to be a running back to you?
This may have been his best play tonight.
I believe it is what a great run.
Mercy Me.
Coming to some of these games Gil and we'd know the usual suspects.
The coach highlights and for us during our conference calls but it's nice to come into a game and see somebody perform the way Dominick Sanders has tonight that we did not expect to be the go-to guy and he's really risen to the crop.
It's going to be guys like him Gill that give this team that extra oats to keep their eyes on that state championship again.
This year they're going to have a shot at it because of guys like Dominick Sanders Tucker is just going to run the clock out.
Looks like there's some semblance of the victory formation, call the dogs off.
Literally it tonight, call the Tigers home, Aaron Barry, you see Tucker getting some guys in the Ballgame that are backups.
Maybe even some third stringers to get him a little bit of action because the high school and college level.
You got to get these guys from game time experience because these are the guys that you're going to pass the torch to in a couple years.
Want to say thank you to all the Outstanding department members and the athletic Department's of these respective high schools, and that Gibson, and her outstanding staff at Tucker.
And, of course, Kathy Walton, who is he Athletics, liaison at Southwest to cab.
But Godfrey, don't want to say thank you to you and also principal Williams for all the accents.
Take a look at the Southwest DeKalb schedule.
We talked about Arabia, Mountain up, head up, ahead at Panther Stadium.
What else do they have?
In front of them?
I think Southwest DeKalb.
Has a chance to run the table here, Gil.
No Arabia mountains.
Number 10, out of 11 in their region right now.
Dunwoody's on the outside, looking in at Owen, 5014 in the region.
Southwest DeKalb is not out of this thing but they have got a lot of work to do between this week and next week to try to get some semblance of momentum and continuity on the offensive side of the football.
I know you look at the scoreboard and think twenty nine to nothing your defense had to let down tonight tonight.
The defense has not been the problem for Southwest DeKalb.
It's been their offense being unable to get into any kind of a Them.
I don't know if it's because of the numerous formations that coach Godfrey implements on a week in and week out basis one way or another they've got talent but they've got zero momentum.
Just saw Eric paree on the carry breakpoints, try great points, and that will take them with a lawsuit at night, but Gottfried a company will be forward.
Great Tucker will go to 6 & 1.
Yeah, Southwest DeKalb, his boss to MLK the number two team in their classification.
Right now, it also to Stephenson the number three team in their classification and now they're about to lose to Tucker who's the number 14 in their classification.
All in the same Let's go down to Jon Nelson.
Who's having a whole lot of fun?
Is that a conductor?
Is that John Nelson a conductor?
That's why they're not playing in Rhythm anymore.
John is conducting, the van.
How about that?
Break bricks?
Yeah, let's listen it folks.
Yeah, I want to make my point dad dad.
The most versatile guy in the entire stadium is none other than mr. John Nelson, now that you are all that and next year, he'll write a book about the last 120 years of high school football marching bands, look for it.
Look, John Burt, Bacharach, Nelson close-up, view of the author down conductor his day job, the author of four books, and the conductor of a homecoming knife at Southwest DeKalb.
Nelson.
He'll be at a bookstore at Georgia Tech.
He's done outstanding John way to go.
Give that man.
A round of applause.
Gilmore, loading it up and all he had a receiver out there wide open.
It was silly and it falls incomplete.
Those two have just not been able to connect so far tonight.
They've made a couple of nice attempts, and that was a pretty throw by Gilmore.
Just a little bit too long.
We've said, since the first quarter Gill, every time he's missed on a pass, because he's put a little bit too much on it.
Healy had separation and they're desperately now, just trying to not be shut out.
That's what happens in the waning moments of these games when you're down.
And you haven't put a point on the board It's demoralizing to lose but it's even more demoralizing to get shut out.
They would love to get some kind of points on the board in the next 1 minute.
25 seconds, I want to say thank you to Southwest DeKalb band, director, James Satan, for letting John Nelson, direct.
The best band in the land, and that's undisputable the best.
The Rose Bowl Parade president inaugurations.
They played a President George HW.
Bush's inauguration in 2001 the Olympics in 1996 here in Atlanta, who Summer Games, summer Olympia.
And there you have a fun drive right now to make another trip under a minute, to go most of the fans here on the southwestern, cap side.
Anyway, Guild cleared out tonight.
Rest assured but Godfrey this coaching staff have a lot of work to do but there's no quit in those guys.
Have their team ready to come out and play next week.
Yes Southwest DeKalb takes on Arabia now and next week check us out Friday football, Friday's all except Show starting at 7:30 Eastern will be at hallford Stadium right here.
We're not going to leave train out of pitched.
A tent MLK will take on Stephenson, will bring you the cheerleader challenge.
Show you what's cooking.
David celski catches, the school spirit, Jen gives us the ultimate lunchbox makeover for the kids old hat, and the dancing divas, and whole much more.
You may even see Jon Nelson gets conduct again, tune in for a wonderful and exciting pregame show GPB Sports football.
Friday's all-access, vest, followed by the MLK Stevenson game, alive.
7:30 Eastern.
4:30 Pacific, on GPB and of course, specific 4:30.
They can catch us at gpb.org now, Gil, you keep telling me.
We're camping out.
Uh-huh.
You couldn't have been least.
Sprung for like a camper or an RV or something?
We gotta, we gotta go old school.
We gotta, yeah, I like The Rustic like okay.
Okay, rustic.
Look, you got these nice pine trees around here.
You know, like I said, I'm going to leave when the game's over button to go home and get my overnight stuff.
I'll be back just as wait for me.
Okay, I promise I said, I need a minute.
I'll keep the light on for you, right?
Jalen French little razzle-dazzle.
They tried to strip them.
48 pics to go.
Try to look ahead to MLK and Stephenson next week man, I can't wait for that football game Gil and it really is astounding.
We made the point just a few moments ago, right after John got done with his directorial, debut that you've got, listen to this, Guild in the for in the 58 classification.
Rather number to MLK.
Number three, Stephenson number for Tucker.
All three of those teams are in the same snake and region Utah at the beginning to The broadcast, John had a time to catch up with Coach God for and he said well last year, you know, our region was called a little SEC.
They can stick a mistake that claim this you Tucker.
Go to get it at Victory formation, nail down, and let the clock tick, the multi-purpose, Jon Nelson Dominick Sanders, don't have that, okay?
That's right.
Take a look at Brian Lamb friend, Lamar, and take a look at the region, standings coming into tonight.
This is how it look, this does not include tonight's game.
But, you know when that all When the Smoke Clears after this is over, Tucker will go to 6 and 1 and Southwest DeKalb will go to 43 Stephenson to the driver's seat because if they beat MLK next we killed they will have wins over MLK and Tucker because as we mentioned before South are Stevenson beat Tucker last week and of them, their first loss and breaking their 20 game win.
Streak that kneel down again and that's going to put a wrap.
What a little maroon and gold on this 29.
Nothing the Tucker, tigers and Brian Lamar coming to hallford.
Stadium and spoil the homecoming for but Godfrey, I'm at Southwest DeKalb Panthers here tonight, 29, nothing the final, and both teams will meet at Midfield.
Both coaches, will congratulate each other sportsmanship for a game.
Well, played here tonight.
Ray McDaniel, always great.
Be with you.
And like I said, you get home the Loganville, then come back, and I'll keep the light on do so, please, you and I are going to camp out and get ready downstairs to the multi-purpose, the All-American.
He's been our got a night, John Nelson, standing by with Brian Lamar Nelly.
Thank you, GT here, with the coach dominating performance tonight.
That was pretty decent performance.
That we did some good things and some bad things, but mostly good.
So, moving forward, its Goodwin and we talked about moving forward here in this region, it looks like it's going to be five teams for four spots and obviously after what happened Happened last week.
This was a good first step in solidifying where you want to be.
It was a great first step, you know, we wanted to get that bad taste out of my mouth after last week's loss and try to get it back going.
It was a good win for us and we got big opponents up ahead.
So we just have no time to celebrate got Miller Grove and he got ML King.
So we one game at a time.
So and then Dominic got almost like the Hat Trick Tonight.
He scored pretty much any way possible out there.
He's a heck of a fleet and he's being big for us all year long.
Receiving the ball defending the ball and running the ball.
He's doing a great job.
So you're going to say that he's I wash, everybody's uniform when he gets back.
He's done so much today.
Yeah, he got a little bit left in the tank.
Thanks for your time congratulation.
I appreciate it.
Let's send it over to the best seat in the house with Mark.
Harmon in the postgame show, John, thanks very much, the game is over, but the postgame show just kicking off right now.
It was homecoming for Southwest to cab at the Tucker.
Tigers rain on their parade.
Winning it tonight, 29 to nothing.
Let's take a look at the highlights from hallford Stadium today and it was the Tucker.
Tigers going to work right off the bat first quarter.
Southwest DeKalb on the punt.
It is Dominick Sanders, hauling it in and then he hauls, Dougie he goes, 42 yards.
Streaking down the sidelines with the punt return, this made it six to nothing.
They got the two-point conversion made, it ain't nothing Tucker on top and they never look back.
What a game by Dominick Sanders.
He goes 22 yards right down the side, line breaks the tackle.
This makes it 15 to nothing in the second quarter late second quarter, it is Joanne Williams to who else Dominick Sanders.
Hat trick of touchdowns in the first half alone, 22 to nothing Tucker.
On top.
Third quarters to Juan Williams muchassi Rivers.
This makes a twenty nine to nothing and Tucker goes on to win at twenty nine to nothing your final score.
John Nelson now is on handy, comes in and we're going to talk about, first of all, you're conducting over there.
I've seen Arthur Fiedler John Williams, Robert Shaw, great conductors all.
But none had the aplomb that you had Nothing like that.
It was a great chance and I got to thank dr. Satan everyone but Southwest DeKalb.
Alright, that's it for football Fridays in Georgia tonight again 29 nothing Tucker winner.
Next week GPB will televise a battle of unbeatens right here at hallford Stadium.
As MLK takes on Stephenson things.
Get kicked off with our football.
