Two women were killed and three people were injured, including a KSP trooper, on Sunday in Lexington. Police said the gunman first shot a trooper during a traffic stop near Blue Grass Airport. The gunman then fled to Richmond Road Baptist Church, where he shot four people before he was killed by police.

We begin tonight with the latest on a deadly mass shooting in Kentucky.
2 women were shot and killed and 3 others were injured yesterday in Lexington, it started with a traffic stop near Bluegrass Airport.
That's where police say Guy House shot a Kentucky State Police trooper.
Witnesses stopped to help and the trooper was taken to the hospital for treatment of what police today described as, quote, very serious injuries from there.
Police say the gunman carjacked someone on Bella Wood Drive and then drove to Richmond Road Baptist Church on Old Richmond Road.
That's where officers say house shot and killed.
72 year-old Beverly Gum and her daughter.
34 year-old Christina Combs.
Family members say both of their husbands, Jerry Gum and Randy Combs were also shot.
Police say those victims remain in critical condition.
House was shot and killed by police at the church.
Today, the mother of his children said he came to the church looking for her but killed her mother and sister.
Instead.
>> And had a really hard like, you know, one.
I was addicted to drugs and a lot of stuff like that.
So it was just the combination.
Mental illness and drug addiction.
And thanks to happen in use childhood, a base, a lot of trauma, too.
That's just a lot of miles.
And which way there's no good thing that said that know that I cannot even believe it.
I don't think anyone would be over to put wrap their mind around something like that.
I just don't think they could.
I know there's no need for them.

>> Police officers provided an update on the shooting this afternoon.
Kentucky State Police said other people were in the car when House shot the trooper at the airport.
Investigators would not elaborate about who those people were but said they were not involved in the shooting itself.
Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers also discussed the community response to yesterday's tragedy.
>> Just as our community experiences devastating event.
