Two retired Skokie doctors have recently returned from volunteering in eastern Europe, helping refugees who are escaping the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They provided healthcare for adults and children crossing into Poland-- oftentimes giving people crucial medications they'd been unable to access during the conflict.
