Thats rolled together?
How beautiful is that?
Hi, I'm Mary Clark.
I am the Executive Director of Indy's Global Village Museum Let me show you some of my favorite things.
Follow me.
So let me tell you about this map of flags.
A friend of ours who is from the U.S.
Virgin Islands made this map of flags for us, and he was so proud of it when he brought it to us.
And so he could tell on my face that I was a little puzzled And he said, Mary whats wrong?
I said, well, Michael, where is the United States?
So he points to the U.S.
Virgin Islands because that's where he's from.
from his perspective as growing up thinking that the U.S.
Virgin Islands flag was the flag for the country, I get it.
So he took it back and he added the United States in Indiana.
How cool is that?
Some of my favorite pieces here at the Global Village are these three designer, dresses that were made from some unique materials like paper and plastic.
One is made of wrapping paper and cupcake holders as the top.
And the last was plastic with paper underneath.
So this dress is a dress thats made of toilet paper.
You know, from your bathroom that's rolled, wound together.
It is, supposed to be a dress that a bride would wear.
Maybe after she gets married and she's part of the party ensemble.
