Jay's Chicago

A Unusual Tradition of Love and Family Unity

Clip: Season 2022 Episode 3 | 3m 50sVideo has Closed Captions

This is undoubtedly the cutest story to ever appear on the show.

This story is about a garment that may hold the world’s record for hand-me-downs. Sixty babies in one large extended family have all worn it -- ever since it was crocheted in the Philippines in 1945. The latest baby was Zachary Pingoy. His mother, photographer Mary Grace Pingoy, wore it. And her mother, Margie Hermano, wore it too. A story of love and family tradition.
