Nearly 1,200 applications have been lodged so far
Homeowners who suffered property damage during Hurricane Ida have until Monday, May 1 to apply for aid. The Homeowner Assistance and Recovery Program, known as HARP, has $68 million to disburse from federal disaster relief funds. So far, nearly 1,200 applications have come in but, according to the state, it will take a lot of time to finalize the awardees, even after the deadline passes.
