(upbeat music) - Utah Insight returns for its fifth season this May.
And here to tell us more about what viewers can expect are PBS Utah host, producers, Liz Adeola and ReaAnn Christensen.
Hi both.
Welcome back.
So Liz, it's already your fifth season.
That's hard to believe.
- Yeah, it really is.
When we started, it was during the height of the pandemic.
People were just barely coming out of lockdown.
So a lot of our guests were joining us virtually.
And now five years in, finally we can see people face-to-face, and have them right at the desk.
And it's been quite the journey.
- Oh yeah, it makes such a difference when you see them too.
So why don't you talk about some of the show topics.
- Some of the show topics that we're gonna explore this year are AI, and the media, and politics with the election coming up, what people think about that.
And some tips so people can know what's real and what's fake that they're seeing.
We're gonna explore, you know, what's really garnering a lot of attention right now, the protests that are happening on college campuses, here in Utah, and throughout the nation.
As well as other topics like, I think we're exploring sexual assault.
We just have an array of topics that we're exploring this season.
- Very meaty and no shortage of things to talk about.
So I, why don't you talk, ReaAnn, about what you've been working on already?
'Cause you guys have a lot done already.
- We do.
So we've been out in the field in St. George.
We've been working on water quality.
And they've been doing some testing on the water, and we've been following along with that.
So, we'll have some updates.
That was a really rough year for water quality last year.
And I've also been working several months on what will be our final episode, which is a special on energy, as Utah's transitioning out of coal.
There's other options that are available.
And we kind of go through all of those options, and really, really fun stuff.
- Well yeah, you've got a great season.
I mean, there's so much going on, like where do you stop?
And it runs May 24th for 10 episodes, yes?
- Yep, that's correct.
- Okay, great.
All right, well thank you both.
Looking forward to what you dig up.
Thanks.
