Will teacher vaccinations open schools? The short answer, no

The CDC has updated its guidance to place less emphasis on 6 feet of distance.

Teachers are eligible for vaccinations, but the process of getting appointments remains slow. And while the teachers feel relieved to get their shots, many say vaccines are not the key to reopening. Some districts are finding ways to bring more, even all of their students back, but must still adhere to state guidelines that require 6 feet of distance between students.
