It is Father Richard Kunst's collection of papal artifacts.
I am highly impressed by this collection.
I have seen a few papal artifacts in my long career in museums.
I have never seen a collection like this.
The thing about artifacts is artifacts give us an honest and real tie to history, and we can look at photographs.
We can see movies, we can read books.
There's a lot of ways of teaching history.
There's nothing as real as the real touch of the past, the reality of the past, of an artifact.
That's why museums are necessary.
That's why we need to maintain these kinds of collections.
Because without them, we lose that sense of reality.
