The Veterans Treatment Court program is an alternative to incarceration for veterans in the criminal justice system. This program, created in Buffalo, NY, is now modeled across the country and uses volunteer veteran mentors like local Vietnam veteran Pat Welch, as a key part of its success. It’s his way of giving back to fellow veterans and honoring those who gave their lives in the Vietnam War.
