This is the vinyl vault.

It's a little record store in a bank vault.

It used to be a bank vault in 1890.

And being empty for all those years, it seemed just a great place to do a little dinky shop.

When I came here eight years ago, this vault space was completely unused.

And I thought, What can we put in there that would really be unique and something that the area doesn't have?

And it occurred to us that a little record shop would do the trick.

So we called it the Vinyl Vault, and it's a curated collection of new and used classic vinyl.

I've been an avid collector myself for years and years, so I've brought a lot of things in from my collection, duplicates or things I didn't want anymore.

We get things from estate sales, people that have rediscovered the music.

That's tangible.

A big album with a cover on it is something that people really like and I think they're tired of.

In some ways, they're tired of everything digital and they've got a hankering for something that's a little more old fashioned and analog, and that's where vinyl comes in.
