And, of course, most homeowners won't have that, but it's gonna be a real benefit for you because I suppose some of this may need to be limed.
>>Yes.
>>But we don't know, do we?
>>We don't know.
And the important thing is, is adjusting the pH for soil is so important for nutrient availability to the plant.
We could put a lot of fertilizer down and not have the proper pH and it's actually a waste of money.
>>Well, why don't we go ahead and put that in place and let's just see what it tells us.
>>Let's see.
We have to just give it a moment.
Of course, ideally, you want a pH around 5.5 to 6.5, but normally, that's not what we read on our pH meter here at Maymont.
>>And what is your natural pH here?
>>Actually it's 4.8 to 5.2 is my range here, but this one I think is gonna make a liar out of me.
>>Well, actually it does look like, and maybe from the sediment over the years, there's a lot of organic matter already here and you've already put some in, haven't you?
>>Yes, we have.
And our pH is resting at 5.8, right around.
>>That 5.8.
Okay.
>>So, which is wonderful.
>>Pretty much right where you want it.
>>Exactly.
