(light upbeat music) - My name's Kerri Gordon, and I'm an elementary art specialist for the School District of Superior.
Because of the changing dynamic with technology, a lot of my parents and families seem to be on Facebook.
So I decided to use that as a platform to communicate with parents, update them what we're doing in the art room, and also posting student artwork as well.
(light upbeat music) So it's been going now probably for, gosh, about 12 years now, 10, 10, 12 years, 'cause I think that's really important when the kids get to see their stuff out in public and on the internet, they kind of feel like superstars.
Using it as a communication tool for parents to know what we're doing in the art room, and it helps foster creativity and showing them that art is more than just in our classroom, it's everywhere.
