The head of the Food and Drug Administration on Thursday told a panel of federal lawmakers that families should begin to see improvement on store shelves “within days” amid the baby formula shortage, but added it will take a few weeks to get back to normal. Lawmakers grilled the commissioner about how too few companies control the market for baby formula.
