a massive 5,000 acre Wildfire continued to burn in South Jersey today the Allen Road fire began Wednesday night in Bass River State Forest and is 50 percent contained as of this afternoon according to the state forest fire service smoke from the fire combined with fog forced authorities to briefly close a 25-mile stretch of the Garden State Parkway this morning the road reopened in both directions by 10 a.m with a 50 mile per hour speed advisory because of visibility concerns two local roads near the fire remain closed the smoke has also contributed to poor air quality across the state and especially in South Jersey that is expected to continue to be the case through Saturday at least [Music]
