Mayor Ras Baraka says police will step up patrols, targeted interventions during summer

Newark officials announced one arrest was made as an investigation continues into a drive-by shooting late last week where nine people were wounded in Newark’s Weequahic neighborhood. At a press conference Monday, Mayor Ras Baraka said all the victims are in stable condition and that a 17-year-old suspect is facing charges related to the incident.
