Gov. Phil Murphy was joined by legislative leaders in Metuchen on Thursday, Dec. 2, as he outlined his priorities for new gun regulations. Murphy’s eight-point wishlist included a ban on the sale of .50 caliber weapons, a new requirement that all guns be kept locked up when not in use and a new law that would allow the state to hold gun makers responsible for the damage caused by gun violence.
