Sinkhole repairs to take longer than expected
The reopening of two westbound lanes on Route I-80 in Wharton is being delayed. The lanes were expected to reopen by May 4, but the state Department of Transportation said because of complications in repairs to damage caused by sinkholes, the two lanes will not reopen until the end of May. All lanes are still on schedule to be open by June 25, according to the DOT.
