New Jersey’s shortage of judges has created massive backlogs and delays in the state’s court system. On Thursday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Cherry Hill attorney Georgette Castner to serve as a U.S. District Court judge for New Jersey. Castner became the fifth judge nominated by President Joe Biden to be seated on the bench; the Senate confirmed her in a 52-47 vote.
