U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas was the target when her son Daniel was killed
A bill to protect the personal information of federal judges was blocked in the U.S. Senate by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for a third time. The legislation was proposed following the 2020 murder of 20-year-old Daniel Anderl. The intended target was his mother, U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas.
