Newark native rapper, actress and philanthropist Queen Latifah helped break ground on a new multi-family housing development in Newark, a plan she’s been working on for more than a decade. The project would transform properties on the corner of Springfield Avenue and South 17th street into mixed-use space to revitalize and beautify the neighborhood.
