Senate President opposes pump-your-own gas bill
Senate President Nick Scutari said he would not support a bill to allow drivers to pump their own gas, because New Jerseyans overwhelmingly want someone else to do their dirty work. A recent Rutgers-Eagleton poll found 73% support keeping it the way it is. Supporters of the bill say it could save drivers money, but Scutari says there’s no proof of any major savings.
