The Murphy administration announced Thursday that it will spend $70 million to buy new electric trucks, buses and other heavy equipment to replace diesel-burning vehicles in 20 communities that have historically faced high levels of air pollution. Some of the money will also go toward expanding electric vehicle ride-sharing programs.
