Committee vice-chair Rep. Liz Cheney blamed former President Trump for US Capitol attack
“An attempted coup” is how the chairman of the House panel investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol described the committee’s findings. Laying the blame for the attack squarely on former President Donald Trump, adding that the violence was no accident, the panel’s vice-chair, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming), outlined the president’s involvement.
