Successors to Sen. Ron Rice, Assemblyman Ronald Dancer elected
Voters in two legislative districts had special races to decide. Democrat Renee Burgess was elected to succeed former state Sen. Ron Rice (D-Essex), who retired in August. Republican Alex Sauickie will temporarily fill the seat held by Assemblyman Ronald Dancer, an Ocean County Republican who died in July.
