Rain continued throughout Friday, creating the perfect conditions for icy, slippery road conditions Friday night. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in at least a dozen counties, where ice accumulation is expected, averaging about a tenth of an inch of ice. In Sussex County, it could be up to three-tenths of an inch of ice.
